  1. stunned this hasn't been deleted yet tbh, probably just shows how little the server's leadership pays attention the forums anymore
  2. The following is an in-progress fan-fiction and should not be taken as canon. Unless you want to, of course. Preamble Before the darkest hour of Draenor, the Orcs were a people of deep spiritual character and a profound desire to safeguard the world they had begun to share with such a disparate collection of species and realms. When the world had been virgin to the influence of the Burning Legion and the sinister Kil'jaeden, when the folly of Ner'zhul was but a shadow of the future, for this was a time of the forging of heroes. Though forgotten by many Orcs today, the Warchief had tasked me with the gathering of all that is known, and all that had once been known about the terrible time of the Blood River War. The name itself is paradoxical, for according to the records provided to me by Palkar, the period that the war encapsulates (between fifty-one and forty-five years before the opening of the Dark Portal) is known as the Years of Dust, as whatever climate dominated Draenor before the shattering- a climate I am unfamiliar with- is oft compared to the worst of the great drought that plagued the world after warlocks had become widespread. Whether this is merely a coincidence or, in hindsight, serves as an ominous portent for the tragedy that befell my people in the years to come. The first true war between clans that resulted in the annihilation of the Dark Scar Clan and the weakening of the Whiteclaw Clan- my ancestral cousins- to the point of their destruction in the events of the Rise of the Horde, another penned chronicle of mine. Much like that one, this is an assembly of anecdotes passed through word of mouth and what little writing remains after the breaking of the homeworld of my people. Yet, at the time, it had been a glorious affair, for the honour and glory, and the heroes forged in those grim days of war. Unlike my other chronicle, which details the Rise of the Horde as told by my mentor Drek'Thar and the wise Geyah, along with a number of other key witnesses to events of note, this tale relies on the word of descendants of a number of unimportant figures in the scope of the conflict, but their diligence, and the persistence of their descendants ensured that such a record could exist in the first place. Three such figures I shall note here for posterity. The first is the fur trader Y'zag, whose presence at the Kosh'harg prior to the war's outbreak and his choice to record all things said by the Stormbreaker on clay tablets, which were subsequently brought to Azeroth by his children, meant that we know a great deal of the context as to why the war even began. The second, albeit slightly less pronounced witness is a curious one indeed, an orc by the name of Hurzan, claiming to be of the Lightning's Blade, a clan which sent warriors to both sides of the war. Lastly, and perhaps the most dubiously, the Gorian mercenary Rokk, whose tales are often regarded as exceedingly fanciful, though even an unreliable source boasts some truth. Other words I have gathered from the Lok'vadnod of Kash'drakor, among other war songs and poetry from the period. Chapter I The Greed of the Dark Scar The Years of Dust began with a remarkable drop in the produce of foodstuffs upon orcish farms. The usual diet at the time had included a great deal of oats, barley and milk churned to butter and cheese from the talbuk of the world, but a bout of dryness in Nagrand turned into a desperately dry land with arid grass that ill-suited the grazing clefthoof or the talbuk herds that had become such an invioable part of the habitat. When the first harvests failed, many had simply ruled it as a punishment from the ancestors, and the Kosh'harg of that summer saw fierce debate between chieftains, shaman and clan elders on the future of the orcish people, The most vocal of these, according to the account of Y'zag, was the Chieftain of the Dark Scar Clan, a fiercely proud shaman and warrior named Bi'ruk, titled Stormbreaker; "Have we gotten so tolerant of the ways-that-are that we have forgotten the singular rules of the Breaker, the great Grond? I look at those gathered around me and I see weakness! Ample food and homeliness has rendered you all soft of muscle and great in the gut. We, the Dark Scar, do not have the ease that the clans in the lowlands carry. You speak of hardship, yet what hardship is there when the clans barter and bicker as if they were all of one blood? Even the Kosh'harg, the sacred ritual that had once been of fasting and deep meditation has been reduced to little more than an excuse to gossip and brag! You snarl and bare your fangs, yet those same fangs are as dull as stones washed up from the Zangar Sea. The chieftains foster friendship among one another! You, Frostwolf, when was the last time you had to gather your own ores, to work your own forge bellows? Blackrock, when had you felt the touch of dough to knead, or broke your back working in a field. I can speak even less of the wilder clans, the Shadowmoon, who turn their minds to mush with potions and tinctures, claiming rights of livestock from their neighbours on some vague promise of spiritual freedom! A lie, all of it, and by the rise of the next moon, you shall see it too!" Hurzan speaks of this speech as having been uttered by Veskar, son of Bi'ruk, an equally prideful warrior by all measure, and one known to boast of the difficulty the Dark Scar often faced. Having chosen to settle in the harshest mountains of western Gorgrond, known by other clans as the Blade's Edge Mountains, for their large quantities of ogre holds and mines still held by loyalists to the old empire of Highmaul. Rather than splitting away, as had the tyrants of Bladespire, the Gorgrond clans- creatively lacking names such as Bloodmaul, Stonemaul, Ashmaul- turned to mercenary work, either for one another, or for the other powers in the region. More often than not, they loaned their services to the ruling Gronn of the range. According to the same orc, the Dark Scar had been caught up in a war against one of the many children of Gruul, thus, their presence at the Kosh'harg was minimal save for the Chieftain and his son, having come to Nagrand to seek out help from less opportunistic clans. By all accounts, the Blackrock Clan was more than eager to get involved, but only at the expense of seizing Dark Scar territory, including their vital hunting grounds. Faced with annihilation, either Bi'ruk or Veskar sought to stoke the fires of war by provoking others, and one voice answered immediately. While we do not know his name, the Whiteclaw chieftain (known simply as the Great Fanged) rose to the challenge of Bi'ruk, demanding Mak'roghan on the spot to settle sullied honour. Yet, they were on sacred ground, and no weapons had been permitted by the shaman out of fear for exactly this. Despite the lack of blades or clubs, the Fanged and Stormbreaker wrestled one another beneath the shadow of the arrowhead mountain of Oshu'gun before the gathered chieftains. Unfortunately, neither tapped or faded, resulting in only more ill-placed rage between the clans. By the same clay tablet that provided us the first speech, we know the final words of Bi'ruk before he departed in humiliation and the needs of his people not being met; "By the next moon, I have warned you once, I warn you again! Sense is clouded by your honour, chieftains, and now you dry meats to store, instead of seeking glorious combat against a rising foe, with me!" When the next moon came and went, nothing had, initially, been reported to have happened. The morning after, however, it was found that a colossal wildfire had wiped out the grain stores set aside for the Whiteclaws, Thunderlords and Frostwolves to bring with them after the Kosh'harg leaving only charred and blackened remains from what had been vital foodstuffs to stave off a potential famine threatening to break out in Frostfire Ridge. Needless to say, blame immediately fell upon the absent Dark Scar, and three clans departed the Kosh'harg, readying for war. The slight of the flames wasn't the only assault against the clans of Frostfire, for while the chieftains and shaman gathered to ruminate on the future of the conflict with the Dark Scar, the clan struck again, or at least, it was not known that they had been responsible. The village of Kadav, a Whiteclaw settlement on the coast of the Bay of Blades, had been attacked by Mok'nathal hirelings, those among the village that could not fight back were taken into the vast ice-deserts, while survivors fled south to the protection of the Thunderlord bone-holds. Bi'ruk did not claim responsibility, according to all who knew him, of the attacks, but spoke of them as if they were a coincidence of bizarre origin, a sign from the ancestors speaking of the warmongering clans disapproval. It would, unfortunately, become a common trend in the orcish people to claim the right of defence in any slight or battle, warping the truth in their favour, and now, with his justification given, Bi'ruk rallied the Dark Scar for war, searching for willing blades in exchange for lands and loot from the alliance of the Frostfire clans. Chapter 2 Battle of the Drums The first major battle did not come immediately, for the world then known as Draenor had been in the height of a drought heading into the winter, thus, what would be considered weeks for campaigning were instead hard-pressed to gather foodstuffs and building materials for what most feared would be a harsh cold spell.

  9. DISPATCHED by Warchief Doomhammer to chase down an army of human cultists, the Warsong Offensive under Chieftain Hellscream drives across frozen seas, making landfall in the frigid wastes of an ice-caked continent only to find it rife with enemies new and old alike. Beyond the natural hazards of such an inhospitable land, the inbound Horde forces must face off against the various foes that have come to the frozen continent to hunt down and destroy the Legion forces present in the region. The Warsong Clan have gained much renown for never being defeated in battle, but many believe this will finally test their mettle. Available Roles/Races Orc Face and heart of the Horde, the orcs have travelled far from the nomadic days of Draenor. Defeating the nation of Azeroth in the First War and marching on to crush the unified Alliance at the Siege of Lordaeron, the myriad of clans have come to accept the hegemony of the unified Horde under Orgrim Doomhammer. Though some clans still march under their own banners - such as the Warsong - others have fallen to the wayside in fear of retribution after Gul’dan’s betrayal and the abandonment of the Dragonmaw. The majority clans present in the Offensive include the titular Warsong, the Blackrock Clan and the Bleeding Hollow Clan. Goblin Generously provided commodores and specialists of the Steamwheedle Cartel, the goblins of the Warsong Offensive are venture capitalists in uniform: their interests are in the raw materials of the continent and the potential profits of the still-warm relationship between Horde and Cartel. The Trade Prince, in all his wisdom, signed a charter designating the entirety of Northrend under one of his titular Trade Barons, declaring the need to create a new port should the expedition be successful, and it will be. Ogre Surprisingly sparse given their once-widespread involvement in the Horde’s war effort, the ogres have always been a mainstay of the Horde on frontlines. It is their sheer size that has brought down walls and laid waste to the combined human armies at the battle of Capital City. The scarcity of ogres has somewhat raised their pedigree in recent months, but the clumsy and often stupid members of the remaining tribes pale in comparison to the once-mighty Ogre Magi; disciples of Cho’Gall that still serve Doomhammer. Human (evil) Once the weakest of the human nations, Alterac was spared the carnage of war when Aiden Perenolde, in an act ridiculed by his once-allies, turned coat and joined the Horde, supporting rebellions through his criminal Syndicate in a multi-faceted scheme to overthrow his fellow kings and bring ruin to all those who opposed him. While stalled in a state of cold civil war, the Kingdom of Alterac has sent a small force to the frozen continent to assist the Offensive. Emergent Races that will not be available at the start of the first event, but will join the Offensive during it; don’t open if you don’t wanna be spoiled. OOC For those unfamiliar with Glory of the Horde; it is a Warcraft III custom map set in an alternate timeline where the Horde wins during Tides of Darkness: the Orcish Horde has fragmented between Doomhammer and Gul’dan, the latter of which having failed his masters in bringing them to this world, but rising numbers of human cultists among Northrend’s estranged colonies has raised alarm among the Horde’s leaders. Short story: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HkjZ8abVsYNnAzmDgz5bT75yYOAMXZ3d52OVfZwLRJU/edit?usp=sharing Short story II: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wiMDrIdt4KsXiP0PQyfQatuaeCmViJDxVSSybKRisuQ/edit?usp=sharing The Warsong Offensive, in this timeline, takes a similar role to the original timeline, though led by Grom and made up primarily of Second War races rather than WoW. Players will assume the mantle of this alternate timeline Horde’s cream of the crop, elite warriors dispatched to get rid of the apparent demonic foothold in the cold north. Victory over the Legion will mean glory for those who return, and failure will potentially bring damnation to an already wounded world. Discord invite link: https://discord.gg/8MrSV7yv4c
  10. Prelude Event I. 11/07/2021 Imgur gallery Starting as a rumoured conspiracy of corpse-trafficking through Everlook, the adventuring party took off for the elf-ruin of Mazthoril. There, they met the mysterious bounty hunter known as Richard Strong, who revealed in detail that his previous company had been all but wiped out (save himself) while waiting for the backup to arrive. The 'Scourge' had fled into the depths of the ruin-dotted cavern, establishing a hideout that had been, for the most part, a non-issue to the locals. However, scouting and delving into the caverns revealed an altogether different story. What was thought to be a small band of cultists, perhaps extremists turned out to be a well-equipped force of diehard cultists. A brutal skirmish followed, with the smarmy warlock Lyzzie Shadowbolt taking the brunt of the hits when her swarm of imps, though able to dispatch several of these 'Kingsworn' in the fighting, their undead minions falling in the fight. A death knight joined the fight, nearly turning it on the adventurers before quick thinking and a devastating strike from Kaelsier brought his dark crusade against the interlopers to an end. Despite this, a single necromancer was seen escaping, carrying some kind of urn in both hands during the chaos of the fight, leaving only a darkly-clad herald as the Death Knight fell, his head returned to Everlook for a sizeable reward. Meanwhile, as the wounded are returned to Everlook to recover, Effie Fizzlevex and Ludo learn of a terrible secret; of a Lich from another, terrible time orchestrating the plot, of speaking of a Master from beyond the veil seeking to bring down the veil between life and death. Whatever this chilling message meant, it meant nothing good for the living. Participants: Raz'kar (Razkar) Ludo (Gurren) Ephemera Fizzlevex (Fizzlevex) Lyzzie Shadowbolt (Shadowbolt) Kaelsier Thank you to all who tagged along! For people who may not understand what this is: I am going to be doing some Shadowlands-related events in the leadup to Epsilon getting content from the new Expansion as a sort of 'pre-patch', with announcements being done ingame and as spontaneously as possible.
  11. Introduction A trap sprung upon the Alliance and Horde in the middle of the Great Sea has dashed their mighty fleets asunder, an ambush to bring key members of the Alliance and Horde down to an early, watery grave. Though the trap succeeded in destroying the fighting strength of the surface-dweller forces; the resolve of their champions has prevented an absolute victory. Now, disciples of Queen Azshara muster her call once more to make war. With the war coming to the doorstep of the Queen herself, these warriors, among hundreds of other tribes, are battling against the surface-dwellers. However, these are not the hosts of the Betrayer, the unwelcome invaders of the surface, but instead the finest legions of the Queen of the Tides, and now those of the surface stand before their beating heart, and eternal palace to their queen. Available Roles/Races Naga The serpentine descendants of the ancient Highborn Empire, the naga are some of the most fearsome warriors on Azeroth, both below and above the waves, along with being incredibly powerful sorcerers in their own rights. Harkening upon their roots within the ancient empire, naga society is generally divided among tribes and sects, but, in the shadow of their eternal city, they are all united by one single motive, one uniting force; their loyalty, devotion to Azshara. Makrura Also known as the lobstrok, the makrura are a primitive, tribalistic species, held aloft only by their superstitions and beliefs derived from the beings that dwell deep below the waves. That is a shallow look at them, however, as they also boast a strong affinity to water magic, with the Kil’karrok of Kal’methir being regarded as the model subjects among these peculiar crustacean to worship Queen Azshara. Mur’gul A sub-race of deep sea murlocs, the Mur’gul dwell in the deepest coral reefs around Nazjatar proper, their large numbers and ease of reproduction making them perfect thralls for the naga. While considered little more than slaves to the Empire, some Mur'gul have risen above thanks to their strong affinity for the depths and shadow magic, making them ideal, if relatively weak in comparison, agents of Azshara. K’thir Drawn from the tide-worshipping domain of House Stormsong, the K’thir are a type of faceless one encountered on Kul Tiras. Though weaker than their larger and more ancient kin, these mutated humans are just as dangerous when they tap into void magic, often coming in the form of potent spellcasters and assassins in service to the Old Gods. Though not in large numbers, they are often viewed as the direct emissaries of the Deep One. Tidesworn Also known as the Gellin'Dallah, or the Speechless Ones, these are surface-dwelling converts (often of Highborne descent) who came to worship Queen Azshara as fanatics to the faith of the depths. While not inherently aligned to the dark master, but individuals who coalesce in convent. Oftentimes sailors or those simply unfortunate to nearly perish at sea, these converts seek to spread the word of the Queen's beauty and immense power. Secretive and loyal to none save for Azshara's most elite lieutenants, they have been summoned to Nazjatar to aid in the final war. OOC The Host of Perfection is a storyline-guild set during the events of Rise of Azshara. Bear in mind I only intend to host six events, so I wouldn’t exactly encourage creating a brand new character if you already have a naga. I will clarify that the inclusion of the Tidesworn is entirely custom lore; namely the idea of a greed-driven cult of personality forming around Azshara. For the most part, this storyline will focus along the conflict between the Old Gods and the rest of Azeroth, or, in less grand terms, the naga destroying the surface-dwellers. Naturally, this guild will play heavily with the lore and you shouldn’t expect complete accuracy as I personally didn’t play Battle for Azeroth, but am trying to stay faithful to the source material as much as possible. If you are interested in joining the guild, please start by joining the Discord at https://discord.gg/nVx5vMaSNr This is where events will be planned. Spiritfall

Introduction Thirty-three years have passed since the end of the war between Azeroth and Draenor. The Iron Horde, broken and humiliated, has long since fallen apart as an alliance of clans and more exists as a loose pact, the uneasy truce that has held for the past thirty years between Orc and Draenei still holds strong, and, in a long time for the war-stricken world, peace has seemingly been an option. The departure of the last Alliance and Horde garrisons from the planet brought isolation for those who chose to stay as the last portals were shuttered, and save for only a few hiding across Draenor, none knew how to reopen that link to the broken world. Despite this seeming malaise, Draenor's unprecedented age of peace has seen technological advancement in the span of thirty years not seen on Azeroth proper, as remnants of the Blackfuse Company in collaboration with the many engineers and smiths of the Iron Horde advanced the Horde decades into the modern day. More efficient foundries, advanced weapons, and a train system promised to link every major industrial city across the continent as Orcish society and culture moved into a new, radical age. These changes have also brought their own failings in the ruthless caste system that seems to be prevalent among the high militaristic orcs, and, perhaps more importantly, an absence of spiritualism never seen before. The world is dying, Draenor, being drained of her natural resources thanks in large part to the massive, unprecedented social movement taking place across the already war-weary world. Belching black spires of smog and flame, the Orcish people are once again pushed into the precipice of conflict as the interests of the Ruling Council turn towards Frostfire, where the border city of Ganadar squats, built upon an old Iron Horde fortress years after the war. Prophecies, fortune, whatever it is, has brought hundreds of Orcs to Frostfire. To the spiritual, it is rumours of an event, one known as the Spiritfall, to those seeking wealth and glory, it is the promise tapping into the vast resources of Frostfire and securing it for themselves, yet, not all is at is seems as Draenei pilgrims have begun to roam the lands again, and fiery rhetoric from the very spires of Karabor have begun to alight tensions between Orcs and Draenei once again. There is a great change in the air, one that will affect the course of history for all of Draenor, and perhaps beyond. Available Roles/Races Orcs The first of Draenor and the most populous of all peoples, the Orcs have been there since nearly the start, created from the death of Grond and the cycle of the Breakers, they are one with the world that they thrive on, a fact of life that has persisted for many years, at least, until the days of the Iron Horde. With defeat came peace, and with peace came disillusionment. Many orcs simply abandoned spiritualism in favour of becoming more attached to other pursuits; the Orcish people spearheaded the first efforts to establish truly syncretic communities between them and the isolated Draenei, while those who have clung to tradition continue to espouse the spiritualist way of life, one that rejects modernity and embraces the past. However, in this age of peace, those who consider themselves clanless and those who still hold onto old bonds mingle without incident. In Ganadar, a large portion of orcs consider themselves attached to no clan, and simply hold loyalty to the city itself, while wanderers and traders from Frostfire proper continue to speak of the old ways, even if they are dead or dying. Note: The following clans either do not exist or will be only accepted after prior vetting: Twilight's Hammer & Shadowmoon. Goblins While not present in any significant amount, if any, in most areas, Ganadar has come to be the home of one of the largest Blackfuse foundries on Draenor. Owned by the elusive Gex Tricklesprocket, the goblin population numbers less than a dozen, but their presence alone has been vital to orcish development, introducing choppers and other methods of transportation to orcish society, yet at the same time most Goblins are viewed with extreme scrutiny and considered outcasts and exiles in most circles. Reviled by most orcs for being responsible for starting the war against the Alliance and Horde in the first place by courting Garrosh Hellscream, few orcs truly respect the industrious goblins, and fewer still truly consider them the type to have any interest in bettering orcish society as a whole beyond eeking another profit. Ogres Once the most powerful empire on Draenor, the ogres have been reduced to but a shadow of themselves, isolated in their holdfasts and living largely in backwater tradition, a very small handful of ogres have sought to integrate with the wider world as their crestfallen empire lays dead and dying after the death of the last Imperator. Since the fall of Bladespire, the ogres in Frostfire have come to closely cooperate with the Thunderlord can largely out of necessity as both ogres and orcs fear that the continued abuse of Draenor would surely spell doom and the end of the great hunt that had been a core part of Thunderlord culture for so long. The ogres themselves, meanwhile, have reserved to hoarding their wealth and pilfered goods, many of them reduced to mere banditry or living in impoverished conditions in Ganadar itself. OOC Spiritfall is an orc-centric storyline set on Draenor after the events of Warlords of Draenor but prior to what we see in the Mag'har Allied Race Scenario. With the intent to host 5-6 'main' events and a couple side-events over the course of the next month and a half, Spiritfall will tell the story of the origins of the Alternative Universe Mag'har and the Lightbound, and the conflict between Orcs and Draenei being renewed on the backs of a crisis of faith and conflict of interest as both sides seek to save Draenor from the seemingly inevitable death it had been promised. Rather than cramming in lore characters and telling the story of Geyerah, Grom and Yrel, this will be a relatively self-contained story that will give players the option to either fully dive into the path of the Lightbound, or carve out one of the echelons of Mag'har resistance in Frostfire, from making dealings with the still-independent Frostwolves and Thunderlord, to either collaborating or working against Draenei interests in the region, or even potentially having to uproot a conspiracy woven in Ganadar itself, characters will be given a great deal to do and say before the inevitable bell tolls and the seemingly unstoppable bulwark of the Lightbound washes over Draenor. As much as I would like to say there'll be happy ending if you do not join the Lightbound, I cannot promise as much. When you try to do .ph tele group test it will say 'Player not found!' twice, but do nothing. It will say You are being summoned by [X] in the chat, but it just dumps you in the last set location. • Evidence (Chat message/Screenshot): KfwQKpx.jpeg (1069×849) (imgur.com) zPk1Asl.jpeg (978×844) (imgur.com) AqwgNae.jpeg (1146×839) (imgur.com) 9rtBLPS.jpg (1074×818) (imgur.com) kYwgrm3.jpg (1046×891) (imgur.com) 3FYPeFN.jpg (1036×823) (imgur.com) • Steps to reproduce: Create a party with someone or your multibox. Chasing the Dawn

Event Ledger I. 'Homecoming' Upon arrival, a small party would be assembled made up of the Argent Dawn's veterans, joined by a small force of Horde expeditionary forces under the leadership of Blood Guard Gruz. Given a map and some limited information as the status of the fortress was wholly unknown, the scouting force ventured forth, only to be surprised when they were stopped by an undead sentry guarding the former town of Avalon. Further discovery revealed that the undead of the town had in fact resisted the call of the Scourge, or the soon-to-be revealed Crusaders and declared steadfast neutrality, under the terse (if contested) leadership of an innkeep by the name of Maxwell. While nothing significant occurred after this apparent revelation, the Argents would learn of three things; that the Risen (a force of former Scarlets under the sway of a sinister influence) have taken control of the fortress, sealing the gates and pointing cannons at Avalon, that the neutral undead are not alone, but in fact also joined by supposed survivors scattered around the ruins of the Enclave, namely the former court mage of Avalon, who'd sealed himself in the town hall, and lastly that the undead are open to cooperating with the Argent Dawn. Through tact diplomacy, the Argent Dawn has secured a forward outpost within Avalon and may now strike out into the Enclave from there. As Orik Trueheart and the bulk of the vanguard arrives to establish themselves, the fleet is only several weeks away. Attendees Gruz (Gavinlad) Dunval (Biggrouse) Toraman (Odo) Zudyn (Xingshi) MINI-I. 'Vestiges' As the Brotherhood of the Light found itself well-established and cemented in Avalon, a number of challenges had become apparent to the stability of the region as reinforcements flooded in from Northrend. Though Eligor (now Crusade Commander) promised a significant surge of Argent forces to Orik and Rogan, it'd become apparent that they first had to root out the immediate threats, namely the undead-held lands of Havenshire, chief among those threats being a Cult of the Damned remnant holding a plague cauldron just north of Avalon. Under the recommendation of the elusive mayor of Avalon, a party would be sent to scout out - and ideally destroy - the enemy. Unsurprisingly, the enemy was far more insignificant than thought, a single necromancer trapped in the Enclave who had claimed to have destroyed another band of Crusaders prior to the Dawn's arrival, who pitifully threw ghouls at the party before being simply overwhelmed and destroyed. Attendees Dunval (Biggrouse) Iolana (Erkor) Toscanu (Redoul) MINI-II. 'Faith' The question had been presented; what would be the fates of those who still remained devout yet were gripped by the necromantic powers of the Lich King? The answer would become revealed after a brief distraction when a band of drunkard dwarven deserters stopped the party sent by Orik Trueheart south. Ruined farmland, though otherwise empty surrounded them as it became apparent the darkness of the Ebon Blade haunted this region moreso than any other. The tragic destruction inflicted by the prime agents of the Lich King brought about savage destruction on those prisoners of the Scarlet Crusade who were not fortunate enough to be used for slave labour to build the Onslaught's fleet. Many Argents died in those holding cells, slain by the Ebon Blade, and it had remained a source of animosity for some time. The encounter proved surprising, nonetheless, as a conclave of light-worshipping undead were discovered having made their own haven within the chapel, sleeping in makeshift wooden coffins and preaching the word of one 'Saint Anethion', claimed to be a priest slain by Arthas at the Culling of Stratholme. These priests, though neutral, were understandably cautious towards the Argent Dawn, decrying Tirion Fordring as a heretic and believing that the Dawn had become tainted with the same residue of the Scarlets. Needless to say, after much debate and reflection, it would appear that the Argent Dawn was found wanting, and the temple of the condemned burned. Attendees Dunval (Biggrouse)† Gruz (Gavinlad) Jareth (Durff) II. 'Requisition' With their surroundings seemly secure, the Brotherhood of the Light set about securing the one thing that they lacked; heavy artillery. Namely, the cannons of the Scarlet fleet, which were believed to have been abandoned by the Onslaught as they departed for Northrend under attack at the hands of the Ebon Blade. Informed they'll be reinforced by a member of the Blade, a Death Knight soon joined the organization, one who'd previously fought as a member of the Ashen Verdict and a powerful individual. Though it became apparent that perhaps this great power was not entirely needed as they came upon the artillery depot turned watch tower with the sounds of battle heralding their arrival. A band of Scarlets, no less from the Onslaught, had somehow made their way from Northrend to Lordaeron, shipwrecking on the coast and taking shelter in the tower, though as the remaining undead were defeated it was apparent they were not entirely free of the harrowing marks of the Scourge as their leader, a Scarlet knight, was dying as he stood of the Plague, his body quite literally falling apart as he attempted to protect his subjects. Managing to encourage some of the Onslaught to defect and flee to the relative safety of the Dawn, the knight and his remaining loyalists were put down, and the cannons secured. Carrying onto the beaches, they found themselves facing the real horrors of the Ebon Blade and Onslaught. A thick fog had settled over the coastline, concealing all but the echoing cries of agony espoused by hundreds of fallen souls lost to her. As they ventured deeper into the mists, they'd be exposed to the one enemy that convention could not defeat; a death knight of the Scarlet Onslaught, unhinged from the raven priests and no longer held in restraint by Barean Westwind. This was the full power of a champion of the Scourge unleashed on the party, and they were struggling, as the lashed remnants of dozens of humans attacked them in droves, leaving many wounded, and the death knight himself was no slacker either, striking out and managing to wound several Argents before being ultimately brought down as chains of ice and powerful spell-crafting overwhelmed his minions, leaving only this vaunted champion of the Scarlet Onslaught. A fierce melee followed as everything was used to bring him down, with the kill going to Ger'thanis Eversun and Toraman, impaling him before driving a lance of magic through his head, bringing the great giant down with the help of Iolana and Gruz, their powerful melee attacks keeping the death knight still. The siege began to approach once again. Attendees Gerthanis (Biggrouse) Toraman (Odo) Gruz (Gavinlad) Iolana (Erkor) Logad (Titiantree) Toscanu (Redoul) III. 'Finale' Sorry, reader, I can't GIVE you a synopsis. Come back when you've.... Mmmm.. ATTENDED! Attendees Ploob (Erkor) Gerthanis (Biggrouse) Gruz (Gavinlad) Toscanu (Redoul)
  17. Chasing the Dawn Synopsis The Lich King is dead, and Bolvar Fordragon died with him. The world sighs a breath of relief, and the time for joy has come as many celebrate their triumph over the monstrous Undead Scourge, however, not all are so fortunate as to have a home to return to, or a chance to return at all, but of all the orders and factions to participate in the war against the Lich King, none have bled as much as the Brotherhood of the Light. Now, as the might of the Alliance and Horde turn to their homelands, and the thunder of war rises once again in Tirisfal, one of the last few threats to the rising dawn must be destroyed; the Risen of Tyr’s Hand. With the Onslaught doomed to destroy itself, the remnants of the Scarlet Crusade are all that is left to stand as a threat to the Argent Crusade, hiding behind the fortress walls of Tyr’s Hand, slaves to their sinister master. It is a kind mercy to end these damned souls. The storyline of Chasing the Dawn takes place after the fall of the Lich King, following the Brotherhood of the Light in their battle against the final remnants of the Scarlet Crusade in the form of the Risen. Characters will take the role of the Brotherhood’s vanguard in capturing the fortress-city back from the dead, and to grant them peace in the name of the Light. While combat may be the easiest option, it is not the only one, and as revealed in the first event 'Homecoming', it has become apparent that things are not as simple as one may have originally hoped. While not my first rodeo, it's most likely the simplest one as rather than creating an ornate guild the tag <Chasing the Dawn> will be used for all members, along with being given a relevant role on the Discord. While not mandatory, it is recommended you join it if you want to know when and what is going on. Character Creation & Joining Rather than creating new characters, I will generally accept any pre-Wrath characters that can justifiably ‘WotLK-ify’ themselves, including a set that features BotL colours and a general aesthetic that applies to the era. The aesthetic of the NPCs will generally be patch 3.3.5a and downwards. There aren't any particular races or class limitations, however I would like to do a man-to-man interview prior to a person joining under the following affiliation or class: Death Knight, Ebon Blade, (ex-)Scarlet. This is the case at the moment, however new limitations may be put in place depending on the makeup of the guild as time goes on. https://discord.gg/Qta4gbUBPA To actually join, simply log in and hop into the phase when we're RPing and get accustomed to the characters.
