  1. Hi, my name is obviously not Loth, but i got used to using this name for RP purposes so y'all can use that name, I'm a 22 year old dude from Barcelona, About me, all im willing to say that I'am an International Relations student and that I fkn love skating, you'll probably get to know me if we RP together. I've been playing WoW since 2015. Overtime it has become one of my favourite settings along 40k and Star Wars (not the new bs films). I mainly have experience roleplaying in spanish servers (Los Errantes as well as a few private servers), however i've also had experience in Argent Dawn (EU) as well as in SWTOR. Overtime, my goals, once i get used to roleplaying in english, are to participate in the making of events (As back in Los Errantes I usually DM'd) and have enjoyable experiences along great RPers. Its gonna take a while to know at least a couple of rp groups / guilds so if anyone is interested/willing to show me around or perhaps even invite me to an event I would greatly appreciate it. I play a Stromgardian paladin, here is the link to his backstory: https://forums.epsilonwow.net/topic/2909-loth-of-orkney-characters-profile/ ?
  2. Backstory of Ser Loth of Orkney, Knight of Stromgarde: - The fire is crackling; a woman o hugs her daughter, a mother shares a tender moment. She sits her on her lap and opens the book that the little girl asked for, its title is: "Chronicles of Sir Loth, the Knight of Orkney a brief tale of a Knight" She smiles as she gets her daughter ready for her bed night story, after all these years she still has good memories of the noble knight she once befriended. Chapter 1; A Knight’s roots: Sir Loth of Okney is a knight whose origins lie in the lands of Arathi. Loth grew up in Stromgarde itself; in a prestigious noble family, whose occupation, given Arathor's warrior traditions, was fighting Arathor’s wars. Nevertheless the family had made a name for itself a few generations prior to our night’s birth, for generations the family members of Okney trained as knights in service of the crown. Yet the true expertise of the family laid in the field of history, thanks to the efforts of one of Orkney’s ancestors, a Knight known as Perallon of Orkney. Said knight established a long tradition of academic study within the family, becoming somewhat known as a historian/explorer, and a capable knight. Thus, our young knight grew up to be scholed into the ways of the chivalric code as well as extensive study of history. As it often happens with people who are born into the lower nobility, great expectations were placed upon him. More often than not young Loth would distract himself from its obligations and tutelary, as a young man Loth would frequently get into trouble for dedicating more time to music than to his training, Nevertheless as the years went by and Loth approached the age of squireship his rebellious escapades came to an end. At the early age of sixteen he would meet his mentor, Ares Bor, a knight of Lordaeron. He would take care of young Orkney. Chapter 2; A Knight Rises: Young as Orkney was, about a year after beginning his squireship under Ser Bor, Orkney saw first hand combat. His experiences are tales of its own; however our soon to be knight faced hardships and foes with courage and determination, for he was not going to let down his family, nor friends, comrades, or even his tutor. That is not to say that he did not experience loss, for the second war was a bloody conflict and thousands died, some by Loth’s hand and some on Loth’s hands. Nevertheless our knight did not enjoy the privilege of being trained at a regular phase, he was ordered a full knight a year after the end of the Second War, his tutor deemed him worthy after having proven himself both physically and spiritually, having embraced the chivalric code and the faith in the light. Chapter3; Interwar Period: After the second war, throughout the period in-between wars, he sought to perfect the tangible aspect of the ways of the light, the casting of sacred spells. Loth would travel the northern kingdoms and learn from paladins and priests alike. To that the knight travelled to several courts serving several local lords around Hillsbrad Foothills for brief periods of time. Ultimately due to his sympathy for the kingdom of Lordaeron –As he’s mentor had strong connections with the court of Lordaeron- Loth even joined the Knights of the Silver Hand in their fight against the scourge. Through his experiences with the knights Loth slowly but surely progressed towards his objective of grasping the principles of channeling light. Chapter 4; The Dusk of a Kingdom: Shortly before the end of the Third War, throughout which the knight saw a considerable amount of action, a criminal union from Alterac known as the Syndicate, together with the support of the Boulderfist ogre clan, initiated hostilities with the kingdom of Stromgarde, whose previous war effort and casualties –Said war effort refers to the casualties of the Second War- would sentence the final unhappy destiny of the kingdom of Stromgarde. Loth, ever the patriot, fulfilled his duty; he evidently participated in the defense of Arathor with great determination and loyalty. Yet it was all in vain, as, in the end, just like in other instances of our history beyond the opening of the dark portal, the city was overwhelmed and an exodus began. After the loss of all he held dear –Including family-, and the de facto ruining of most of his material property, the capital, and territory he once called home. Whilst he escorted the refugees to Theramore as soon as he was done with that he returned to answer the call of the newly formed League of Arathor, a faction created with the purpose to restore the kingdom of stromgarde. Loth remained in the Arathi Highlands for a few years, collaborating with the organization; However, given its lack of progress in its goal -due to its limited resources- He gave up his role in it. As he had become knight without a lord of cause Loth left the Arathi Highlands to seek fortune as a knight errant. Loth would only accept contracts where the mission did not require interfering with the virtues of the light, a code that by now had made fully his. A few years passed, many contracts were fulfilled, most of them consisting of fighting dark creatures considering his paladinesque set of skills. In fact he developed something akin to an inquisitorial instinct, for, more often than not Loth would deal with foes who made usage of darker forms of magic. Yet for all his gained experience a great challenge was ahead of him, the declaration of war against the Lich King’s Plague. Loth would naturally join the Argent Crusade, and participate in their campaigns; mainly in the Plaguelands as he had a few years prior but also briefly in the Northrend. Loth shortly after the loss of the Stromgarde to Syndicate forces. Chapter 5; Northrend and post : Loth would be part of the initial expedition of the crusade against the Northrend Plague. He would disembark at Valiance Keep, however after a few weeks fighting in Northrend he would be injured in the fighting in the area known as the Death Stand - before the plagued temple of En’kiliah-. The severity of his injuries precipitated his temporary return to Stormwind, where he would recover from his injuries. Meanwhile, during these months Count Remington Bonacresta, a Stormwind noble, would offer the knight a job as a diplomat in the service of the Stormwind crown. Nearing the end of the Northrend campaign, from which the sir was evacuated due to his wounds, - I remember that sometimes he said that this campaign was a wound in his honor, he was ashamed of having left prematurely - He formalized his resignation from the Argent Crusade. His newest job had been carefully picked by Remington, as he knew that the knight still felt attached to his former land; as a diplomat would be to maintain correspondence with the Arathor League, thusly, as alliance human settlements in the north of the Eastern Kingdoms had become rare he learned both Thalassian and Dwarvish. –As these were the closer allies that the Arathor League relied on,– After a few years fulfilling such diplomatic tasks, Loth would abandon that position due to disagreements with the count about the amounts of resources that should be sent to the Arathor League. His friendship with Remington had faded in a sea of arguments. -Loth was always a patriot, some even say that he might have defended his ideas with too much zeal- Chapter 6; A New Start: Loth lacked occupation again, and very much determined to resume his old profession, he prepared to leave for Kalimdor in order to participate in the siege of Orgrimmar. He partook in the siege itself but more importantly he coordinated efforts with the refugees who survived the bombing of Theramore, many of them originally beeing exiled Stromgardians like him. After the Orgrimmar ordeal Sir Loth acquired a small manor outside the city of Stormwind near Goldshire, and thus for the following years he dedicated himself to properly administer the small terrain the manor had. –Loth, despite not having an heir, by that time retained part of the heritage that generations before him had earned in the service of the empire of Arathor. For example, that silver and red armor, which we have in the hall, belonged to the knight's grandfather and was passed down and used by Loth himself- By the end of the Draenor Campaign Loth had managed to close a contract with a family that fled Stromgarde only to have to flee Theramore again. The family was granted a place to live in the manor in exchange for their labour at the wood workshop he had built next to his residence as well as the maintenance of the small property, providing him with economic stability while travelling as a knight errant. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The story continues, young lady listens carefully to the words of her mother, Diana Bor, yet her eyes slowly shut. With a gentle kiss diana tucks her daughter and leaves the room, for tomorrow he training shall continue.
