Ishnu'dal'dieb, Thero'Shala Would you like to hear a story? Yes? Just take a seat and close your eyes. It all began well over a millennia ago, at the height of Highborne supremacy. Though I can recall it all happening as if it were fresh from yesterday's recent, yet distant events. Not brought into this world of gentle birth to my mother and father, who were both skilled rangers. My parents raised me with strict precision on the outskirts of Elune'dris; though, as it is presently called: Azshara. Named after our once vain queen. Oh... Here I am leading you astray with irrelevant information. If you are interested, traveller, I can continue; otherwise, this is where we part ways. Chapter 1 - The Half-Beast, the Half-Man. You wish to stay and hear my tale? Very well. At some stage in my youth I was out training, it was in these thick forests bordering Elune'dris that I happened across an elusive race. They were akin beasts that walked on two legs; though, with fur, and stealth to rival a nightsaber. As I approached them, they vanished - never to be seen again, or so I thought. As it happened, during another lengthy training session again on a later evening my proud and youthful self came across a large bear. Filled with pride and an eagerness to impress my parents, I decided to take it on; which was, for lack of better words, a stupid decision. Needless to say, the bear was very angry for having been pierced by my arrow and charged at me. In a panic, I was unable to react fast enough... I thought my life was to be ended then and there. Elune, however, had other plans for me. As I shut my eyes and surrendered myself to fate, a light set of footsteps approached, and with a sound I am yet to clear my mind of, the bear was killed. But what had saved me? With sheepish eyes I looked up to see a two-legged beast, like the one I had seen previously. Was I thankful? Truth be told, I was ecstatic to have been granted an audience with this being. From what I could tell at the time, it was rather muscular - a man. A man who would become my Thero'Shan'do, my honoured teacher. Anyway, back to the story. As speechless as I was, the two-legged furry beast man spoke, and in a language I could understand. 'You are fucking stupid.' is what he said, and either he had a grim sense of humour, or he insulted me; neither of which I know the answer to, nor ever will. Frozen with shock, and in awe that he had spoken, all I could muster up was a very foolish sounding greeting. Seeing that I was likely as silly as I looked at this point, he turned to leave. Beyond better judgement, younger me chased after him in hopes that I would be able to catch up to him. Through the forest we ran, I remember it taking all the strength I had just to keep up with him, as he moved with a sense of alacricy I had never before seen. Deeper into the forest we got, and as the great orb of fire in the sky teetered on the horizon, only the light of Elune was left to guide the way. It was with this silver light that I was guided through the forest, and to where this very fast, two-legged beast man could be found... I am uncertain as to who looked more surprised, him for seeing that I had finally caught up to him, or me, having done so. This was the moment I became his student.
