  1. Considering how many things get saved/fixed by server restart, it would be nice to have regular server restart or a bot-channel on discord that would send message whenever server crashes/restarts. The latter would be probably better. If something like that is not too difficult to do, I think it would be a welcomed adition.
  2. Same thing here. Except, after restart, it didn't "fix" itself. Instead the NPCs turned invisible and untargetable. Also they are still unspawnable.
  3. Type of bug: In-game bug Description: Epsilon currently has a huge problem with handling 'unused' DisplayIDs over 83274 (IDs not present in the game) on NPCs. In more detail: A Builder's Dream patch allows us to assign models to DisplayIDs without a corresponding ID within the database of the server and morph into them. However this feature is very broken for NPCs currently. I made an NPC with newly added ID. At that point I was able to spawn it and work with it as if it was any other NPC. The strange happened after the server restarted or crashed (not sure on that one). The NPC is now stucked in a weird half-existing state. What I mean: The NPC is invisible and unforgettable (via click or /tar), however it is detectable via .npc near and I can still work with it via GUID. Even stranger, when I try spawning that NPC again I get a Syntax error instead. Evidence: Here is output of .npc near And here is the spawning thing Reproduction rate: 2/2 times, about 120 NPCs total (Currently waiting for a friend to confirm this after next restart, or try it for yourself) Edit: Just found a similar issue https://forums.epsilonwow.net/topic/1496-forging-npcs-with-new-display-ids/ here, which was resolved, but it seems it was not resolved enough (I assume a restart has occurred in the last week, if not well...). It seems that server restart manages to break the npcs.
  4. "When rose loses its petals only thorns will remain." Name: Fyldaron Wildbloom Title: Druid of Thorns Gender: Male Race: Kaldorei Age: Ancient Birthplace: Unnamed village in Suramar region Affiliation: None Former affiliations: Kaldorei rebellion, Cenarion Circle Relatives: Unknown Status: Active Far beyond the border of Suramar city, beyond even the groves surrounding it once stood a small village. Its citizens were common folk, not basking in the direct energies of the Nightwell. Woodcutters, farmers, simple craftsmen, all those unseen lowly people whose hard work allowed the gorgeous city to prosper. Heartbloom family was one of those. They were simple farmers, growing crops so that nobles of the city could fill their stomachs. But it was a good life for the most part. Young Fyldaron was enjoying this life. Helping his parents from time to time and playing with the other children in the village. They were looking up to him because he always had the best ideas for games and never failed to come up with something to do. Either that or they just marvelled at his amber eyes. Adults were telling him that he had a great destiny, but he didn’t pay much attention to them back then. But as years went on Fyldaron began to want a bit more from his life. During the celebration, he often sneaked away and run all the way to the city. It was astonishing. All the colours and riches and all kinds of fancy things. But life was not all fuzzy and easy. Bad harvest came at times and woods were filled with dangerous beasts. He learned how to fight from his father. They were no soldiers, but they could fend for themselves. However, it was not just beasts hiding behind the curtain of the forest. There, deep under the cover of trees, lived trolls. From a fair distance, Fyldaron observed their dark, yet fascinating rituals. He knew something like this was forbidden, yet still, it piqued his interest. Then one day the fire came. These days the man carried himself high. His groomed face and hair combined with his posture easily evoking a sense of nobility. But all that is just an elaborate ruse brought to near perfection over the ages he lived. Perhaps it was a habit which allowed him to slip into the white cities of old, even if for just a bit. His true home, however, always lied away from those shining walls, deep in the shadowy grows. A long time has passed since the great war and many things have changed. Gone were the days of grand cities, gone were the days of magic. Instead, the order of piety and druidism came, the age of common folk. Fyldaron was always close to nature and this new way of life was like made for him. There, in the circles, he was taught how to listen to nature and how to make nature listen to him. He learned to speak with animals and trees. This opened a new realm of possibilities for him, a whole new world to explore. This new kind of magic was quite different than the one used by highborne, it was more primal; it reminded him a little about the troll rituals he watched as a child. Perhaps if he tried in investigate secrete a little, he could find out something interesting. Life went by and seasons past. Roses bloomed, withered and died. What was the point of life and where was nature heading? Not even the ancients had an answer for those questions. But even in darker times, Fylandor knew peace. He separates himself from the traditional circles, for his ideas were far too different from theirs. Many forgot him, perhaps even he himself. Name and family lost in memory. In solace of deep forests, he discovered the nature in his own way. It was the smallest creatures, bugs, spiders and insects who piqued his interest, they became his tiny friends, companions on his journeys through dark places. The leaf’s purpose is not just to fall. Once it lands on the ground it decays into humus and from that soil, a new life will rise. Life and death are not opposite to each other, they are part of the same cycle. That’s what he came to believe. And he made it his task to protect this cycle. Not just safeguard life, but also bring death. Many could view those ideas as twisted, but is it really so? But life goes on and death is always there. "Death is the only certainty of life."
  5. Damn those feelings. This is really good. Well the last part is bit dry.
  6. I think I remember this orc from Burning Crusade, would you happen to be him?
  7. Thanks so far. Hope you can solve this soon. PMed.
  8. So I was getting BL5190002 error recently and I found out I can't ping epsilon. (I was able to login before) ping play.epsilonwow.net timed out 4/4 times. I tried restarting router, but that didn't fix it. Any solution to this?
  9. I can do 3D models and textures, however it have been ages since I played around with WoW. If someone can give me rundown of how to import wow models into some editor and export them into something Epsilon can process, it would make me very happy.
  10. Well Draenei understand better than anyone what happens when Legion gets involved. The relationship should be like "ok I get it, Legion fucked you over, but you still genocide my people." Working together against greater threats? Yes. Being "best fucking friends"? That is possible, but definitely should not be common thing.
  11. Following is the actual diary I see it clearly now. They are all the same, twisted, corrupted, hiding behind their blazing, shiny armor. But they won’t help you, not when you need them. They will only show up to make a good look and make a bunch of false promises. They deserve what is coming to them. My master will purge their filth from this world and restore his rightful empire. When the scourge attacked my village, it were not the mighty paladins who showed up, it weren’t king’s knights who came to our rescue, no. It was he who saved me, my beloved master. He stopped the undead horde, he showed me where to hide. Yes. He gave power to do something, he gave me courage to stand up. Now I will repay him. In his name I shall act. I’ll spread the word and find new followers. Because human lords tainted good people’s minds by false believe in the Light. They forgot who granted them so much. But I shall make them remember. I will enlighten them once more and they will see the truth. I will cure these poor people from their misguided beliefs and I’ll lead them on the right path. For that is his will. Today I have run into another false-believer. He was looking at me with hate, as if I was the evil one. He should have been thankful instead, it was I who saved his wife after all. But no, he was just spouting out nonsenses. His mind was clearly tainted, I could say that this was very bad case of total brainwash. This man haven’t a bit of sanity left in him, how horrible can these false priests be… I knew I had to act quickly and even then, I might not be able to save him, release him from their grasp. It turned out to be even worse than I expected. Not just his mind, but his whole body fell to the corruption. The corruption sprouted out of him and tried to get me, but I’m protected by my god, it would take much more to overcome me. There was no hope left for that man. I had to put him out of his misery. The corruption was trying to save its host, but it wasn’t strong enough. At least that man’s spirit can rest in peace, forever free from grasps of corruption. I was able to provide only this for him. I burned his body and scattered the ash. I also took all items he had on him, I’ll have to try remove the foul curses from them, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll have to destroy them. Also I have to look for his son and find him as soon as possible. He is young and the corruption may not be rooted so deep in him. I hope I will be able to save him at least, so he can carry on his family legacy, no longer tainted, but free from the grasp of evil. More to come soon

    Dear Diary

Can we have a forum section dedicated to character stories/development/background? (if there is one already, where is it?)
  14. Well it seems that the Old gods are slightly in lead. The votes have spoken! I may contact a friend who is kind of a shaman enthusiast if he wants to come over and make a shaman guild on Epsilon.
  15. They all failed. Loken, Benedictus, Cho'gall, Xavius, even Deathwing. But we will succeed where they have failed. Story: The Dawn of Twilight started as a small cult sometime after the Third War, at that time consisting mainly of survivors, who lost everything. With hate towards those who let the Scourge rampage through their homes they turned to the ones who help them, who offered them power and revenge, to the Old Gods. Since those days the cult grown stronger, accepting new member into it's ranks. The word spread through shadows to hearts of those who where in need. After so many have disappointed of the will of the Old Gods, a new herald was appointed. Their goal is simple, bring about the Hour of Twilight - open the prisons of the Old Gods and establish their rightful empire on Azeroth. In the process there are many smaller task to be fulfilled. Eventually awakening the void titan. Looking for: We are looking for any and all servants of the void. Void Beings Voidcallers Voidwalkers Voidlords Voidwraiths ... Aquir (all forms) Qiraji Manted Nerubians - only exceptions, because you'l have to prove your loyalty Faceless ones C'Thraxxi - only if you prove yourself as a good member of community and role player Naga Mortal servants Dragonkin - adult/old dragons only after discussion Twilight Infinite etc. If you have any question (regarding the guild, how to set up character, lore, ...) PM me on forum, on Discord (Vojtik#6799), or just leave a comment.
