  1. Hello, it is I GORK

So this is about a command that I became familiar with after playing on Paragon for a while, it was the .outfit command, the command would let you create an "Outfit" with various sub-commands to customize gear slots as well as your race and the different customization options for said race through command, you could save it and use it whenever you'd like to on that character. As an example let's say you wanted to be a Zandalari, you would set your race to the Zandalari ID through the command and then you could use several sub-commands to change your face and other available options. I was wondering if this would be possible to implement on Epsilon as a temporary solution to us not having the newer allied races implemented..I could also see it being useful for people wanting to create Naga and customizing them through the command, as I recall that could be done on Paragon.

    With much love. - Gork

  2. HEY GAMER, I just wanted to tell you that this post is pretty EPIC. Thank you for making such a wonderful contribution to the community,
I look forward to seeing the future endeavors that you partake in when it comes to modding, as always you make it worth the while to SMILE.

  3. I have this issue as well, long story short if you leave the zone and logout. Then enter the phase before loading into one of the WoD zones, the doodads that you shifted will still remain, unless you teleport to the zone first and then enter your phase. I even removed all custom content from my Epsilon folder and the issue still remained.

after reading a ton of the replies, I have to say I've been persuaded onto the pro-start zone side, but that isn't to say the problems aren't valid. the people who log on epsilon not to rp but to sit in mall would just end up not logging on, and the people who actually want to rp will continue to log on

losing the starting zone will pretty much only just drop the average active player count without benefiting or worsening the actual rp going on at all

Personally I'd have to disagree, much of the trolling and toxic behavior that happens occurs in start and while there are people that log on Epsilon to "chill", we need to remember that it is an RP server. Not saying you can't come here to chill, but It is an RP server after all.

I believe that the people who RP are who we should worry about the most, a lot of work has gone into improving the roleplay experience provided by Epsilon and we should do our best to make sure RP continues to happen and people use the things given to them. I mean if you look at what the new player said above, I think it's obvious that a lot of people have experienced a lot of negative things in start, while it can hold positive things, I believe for the sake of the community it'd be either better to take action against the toxic individuals, or simply just get rid of the starting zone so they can't bother new players or push them away from Epsilon.

After giving it some thought, I think there isn't really harm in a communal area for people to spend time in OOC. However, that doesn't mean that area shouldn't be changed at all.

The people I've invited to this server have a really poor opinion of the starting area. From the outside looking in, Dranosh Valley in the main phase is where trolls loiter and sling stupid insults and crass comments back and forth at each other.

Dicking around OOC can be fun, but there are people who come to servers like this primarily for RP, and I know two people who were dissuaded from getting involved in the community by the way people act out of character. I'm sure they are far from the only people who have been turned off to this community too, and it stinks, because there are a lot of cool, creative roleplayers here.

Start is the absolute first impression people have of Epsilon. I actually think it's good that it is populated, after a little consideration. I wish the ratio of people in start to people elsewhere wasn't quite so noticeable, but it's not something that can be fixed in a day, or even in a week.

In start I often say, "What if someone who is new here sees you acting like that? Do you think they'll stick around?" It's preposterous to try to change people outright, but maybe changing some expectations of people here through minor rule changes would help.

Also, you want your photos printed? Bogos binted?

I love you, you are my spirit animal.

This isn't the fault of the server having a startzone. It's the fault of individual players not having the initiative or desire to actually get involved in RP.

    Nice argument.

    Thanks man, I'm not wrong.

So if I want to play on Epsilon, I have to sit alone in my own phase or join another one I don't like?

Yeah, deal with it..Do you not have friends?

  8. There are phases that are brand new that get absolutely no attention because people want to sit in start and continue to COMPLAIN, it wouldn't be a probably if people just sat in start and didn't complain, but it's the fact that people that complain choose to stick their thumbs up their asses in start, and regarding the new players? Simple really, have a book spawn in their inventory that lists commands or having something that directs them to a forum post listing every single command.

The population issue, well it's not hard to do /who.

  9. Raise your eyes to the skies and observe!

Today our server's destruction has been averted in defiance of our very makers!

Azarchius, System Admin of Epsilon, has succeeded in bringing us 7.3.5 Azarchius was sent here to judge the fate of our server. He found a server whose people had deviated from the Metzen's blueprints. A server infested with filthy roleplayers. Cold logic deemed our server not worth saving. Cold logic, however, does not account for the power of 7.3.5.

It's up to each of us to prove this is a server worth playing.

That our server... our server is 7.3.5

(Thank you to the entirety of the Epsilon staff team for the work that they've done in bringing us 7.3.5)
