Rimvar    Guildmaster:Skarrburt and Moloch

We are a Custom Lore guild who are aimed at creating a much more flexible RPG style system and an original less rigid world for Rpers to enjoy themselves in. Recruiting wise we are currently looking for People to fill leadership positions and for that we do require a fair amount of rp experience, but we are also taking on bard anyone else who wants to join.

In the beginning there was naught but energy, gaps in the weave of this juvenile universe. The power of the Beyond seeped through and coalesced on the edge of these holes. In the centre of this infant dimension there was a swirling, twisting maelstrom of energy, after 3000 years if twisting and cavorting wildly, the burning, chaotic energy of this constantly in flux vortex began to cool into a half-molten sphere. Thus Rimvar came into being, the first thing, the World.

 

These gaps eventually closed creating the stars. Yet only those large enough survived as the orbs of mana in the sky. The smaller ones fell to Rimvar and crystallized. The planet was not stable though it fluctuated as the elements formed. Earth came before everything solid and unmoving next was fire then water and finally air. As the last blow came the crystals burst open shedding the first souls. Most dissipated finding nothing on this sphere. Three held on in curiosity, they bound themselves to Rimvar. They took forms and names, Shadowy Aethul, Deep Helzvar, Loving Fuha and brave Urhean. Together they set about building the World and seeding it with life.

 

Fuha, Helzvar, Aethul snd Urhean surveyed the flowing life force around them, they noticed that beings had started to form from the mix of elemental energy and life force, the elementals . They decided to try and create their own life-forms, experimenting they combined their powers to create Sol’as and Sel’ene the first dragons.

 

Later the four continued to experiment Shadowy and intelligent  Aethul and  took some of the disparate life force and combined it with magic to create the elves. Helzvar took some life force and placed it in stone creating the Svartalans. Fuha then made man though those in the east were her favourites. Although Helzvar gave his blessing to the northerners.  They had already made many species and they decided to evolve some to full sentience such as the wolves, bears. These became the Lycanarans and Baren. Next Urhean created the greenskins in the south, giving them his brave spirit. That is how the races came to be.

Major Factions;

The Edheli Assembly

After the first age of strife the elves of western wyrd made a pact never to fight again until the end times. They are led by a chancellor appointed by the unanimous vote of the leaders

 

Northbound pact

The denizens of most northern mountain range on the continent, the Thunder Peaks fought a brutal war of attrition for a century before the High Thane and King of the Njordar Illvidri Jatnar convinced the low king and the Bullheart to make peace and join an alliance this became the northbound pact led by a triumvirate of the 3 leaders

 

The Green Moot

In the southern badlands of wyrd the greenskinned races of trolls and orash were in chaos with the vogoni aiding both sides. Until a mysterious Orashi Shaman, Wagastarg the so called “Great green Prophet” called for a moot-gathering there he managed to get Gaznada and Gilnaz to join forces with him. Led by a Warboss from each race.

 

The Alliance of Slothelm

The eastern hills and highlands of Wyrd known as Slothelm after the giant who supposedly built the city of Woodford. The races there have always been at peace rarely fighting, foreseeing desperate times the queen of the celts, Mateo Treeheart wrangled an alliance with the Lycanarans’ Alpha and the Chieftain of the Baren they formed the alliance of Slothelm.

 

 

 

Minor and Racial Factions:

 

Northern Factions:

The Njordar

A race of strong and sturdy humans from the far north they have developed a mastery over the cold stormy elements of their homeland. As all the races of man they were created by fuha but the Njordar were given the blessing of the elements by Helzvar They are led by a King chosen by the Jarls through trials, their current King is also the High Thane of the Circle of Thanes, Skarburt Hakur   

 

 

The Circle of Thanes

Long ago before even the northbound pact people from the various races of the north came together when they learnt they could manipulate the power of the elements and runes. Their purpose to keep balance both between the elements and the nations. The current High Thane is Skarrburt Hake.

 

Svartalans

The Svartalans are masters of technology. And geomancy They use this gift to create gunpowders, oil-powered machines, and golems. These mysteriously intelligent creatures were created by the Guardian Helzvar who is responsible for keeping the elements balanced.  The Svartalans also make for good elementalists as they have a natural affinity to influence lightning and earth. The Minotaurs

Very strong in both physical strength and spirit, the Minotaurs are one of the only races that was not created by the Guardian’s direct intervention. These creatures evolved from bull-like animals and are perhaps the greatest warriors of the north. They also have powerful shamans and can make quite powerful elementalists. Eastern Factions:

 

 

-The Celts-
Masters of the Natural arts, the Celts are notorious for their use of nature magic and ability to shapeshift into animals that were created by Fuha. These humans have fair skin and any hair color ranging from black to blonde. A wise old man named Jouhuen Altcrann united the Celtic tribes into one singular race and taught them the art of Druidism. They are led by a King or Queen descended from Johuen. (open)

 

The Lycanarans-

The Lycanarans are a wolf like people who live in packs their home is the forests of Keunloup in northeast Wyrd. They make for excellent rangers and trackers. They often make powerful druids. They are led by an Alpha, the current one is ____(open)

 

The Packhunters

A special unit of Lone Wolves who are expert trackers and skirmishers. They are the first to know if anything happens within the bounds of Slothelm. They are led by ___(open)

 

-The Baren-

Baren are  hulking, ancient race of bear-men who live in Southeastern Wyrd on the border of the badlands. Though they have no special love for war or murder, several tribes have fallen to multiple forms of corruption from demons and Dark Spirits. They are led by a High Chief the one who leads them now is____ (open)

 

 

Western Factions:

The High Elves

 

A race of Elves that have beautiful blue eyes and that are very skilled with arcane and light magic. An ancient and cultured people. They are proud of their abilities and cultures which sadly often leads to arrogance. They are led by Hierarch_____(open)

 

 

 

-The Grey Elves-

The grey elves are a race of Elves with grey eyes and silver-tinged blood, they are powerful at arcane magic and Order Magic. They are led by Hierarch____(open)

 

-Dark Elves-

A sable-skinned race of elves that are powerful umbramancers and chaos-magic users. Their highly agile bodies allow them to become excellent assassins. They are led by Hierarch___(open)

 

 

 

 

Southern Factions:

 

-The Orosh-

 

The green skinned Orosh are the toughest greenskins, they are naturally aggressive and have a proud warrior culture. Their Warboss is ____(open)

 

-Trolls-

The trolls are the most spiritually able greenskins their spirit or ‘green’ magic is far more advanced than that of the Orash and the Vogoni. Their Warboss is______(open)

 

-The Vogoni-

The vogoni are the smallest yet most cunning of the greenskins they have a tendency to build machines that are unstable but effective. Their Warboss is_____(open)

 

Independent races:

 

-Vampires-

Sallow-skinned beings that are nigh impossible to kill when strong, vampires athough not undead themselves make some of the most powerful necromancers.

 

Halflings

The smallest of the humanoid races, they are nonetheless cunning and wrily what they lack in size they make up for in keen intelligence, because of the various trade embargoes between factions the halflings are vital in carrying goods between the factions. They are led by a Trade Baron (open)

 

-Dragons-

Created by the combined power of the four
Guardians , dragons are very wise, cunning, and intelligent creatures. They often bogart treasure and knowledge, keeping it hidden from the general population. They come in pretty almost every color, from black to white to orange to blue, but they are very rare to find.

 

 

 

-Daemons-

Daemons dwell in an alternate dimension of pure evil, war, and strife. They adhere to a rigid pyramidal power structure which is the only form of order in their entire realm. At the bottom of this structure lie the many and unintelligent Lesser Daemons

- The Undead-

Necromancy continues to exist in
Rimvar despite many attempts to eradicate it and dead bodies can be raised and used at the commanders will. Whether it be skeletons, zombies, or an amalgamated mass of flesh, their powers are quite uncomparable to other magicians. There is a very ancient ritual that is known to very few in Kymer. This ritual would allow the caster to raise undead with sentience and self-awareness, rather than being a blind puppet.


-Spirits

Spirits are beings of unique magic energy. They have the ability to possess hosts but also to heal and create. Some are dark and evil and can be used in curses while some are good.

-The Lores of Magic-

There are 20 Lores of Magic each with various aspects and abilities pertaining to them. They are as follows:

-Lore of the Arcane-

The Lore of the Arcane focuses on controlling the pure magic that saturates Rimvar allowing for massive blasts of Power.

 

 

2-Lore of Beasts-

Users of this lore can tap into the power of the wild to change their form into that of an animal or use it to communicate with animals.

 

3-Lore of Blood-

The Lore of Blood is an offshoot of the Lore of Life, centered around the shaping and control of flesh and blood. Users can make their enemies blood boil but also stop their allies from bleeding out and seal wounds.

 

4-Lore of Darkness-

Practitioners of this Lore can use it to bend shadows to their will, creating constructs out of pure darkness, other abilities allow them to ‘teleport’ from one shadow to another within a small radius.

 

5-Lore of Death-

Practitioners of the Lore of Death can kill someone with a gesture if they have mastered it. Users can also converse with and see ghosts and give peace to restless spirits.

 

6-Lore of Daemons-

The Lore of Daemons allows a spellcaster to summon and control demons as well as firing devastating bolts of hellfire and daemonic energy at enemies.

 

7-Lore of Displacement

Also called the Lore of Apparation. Users of this Lore can teleport themselves across vast differences and create wormholes through which others can travel.

 

8-Lore of the Elements-

The Lore of the elements allows the user to control earth, air, fire and water. Although approaches to the Lore can differ the basic effects are similiar.

 

9-Lore of Malediction-

The Lore of Malediction focuses on curses and black magic. Sacrilegious rituals and spells allow the user to inflict crucifying pain upon their enemies.

 

10-Lore of Chaos-

One of the two most powerful types of magic in the universe. Chaos Magic allows the user to redirect other magics and change the form of anything. Chaos Bolts can cause incredible amounts of damage.

 

 

11-Lore of Motion-

The Lore of Motions consists of manipulating pure force to be able to lift things even a black orc would struggle to carry or blast down walls with waves of force.

 

12 -Lore of Order

The Lore of Order is the opposite but equal of the Lore of Chaos, users of Order Magic can create and manipulate patterns in the universe, although if they only use order magic they cannot change and redirect magic.

13 -Lore of Pain-

The Lore of pain is a unique school of magic employed by Daemonhosts, the spells of this Lore draw upon the user’ pain as fuel.

14 -Lore of the Heavens-

The Lore of the Heavens allows the user to manipulate the distant energies of stars and the ley lines of space.

 

15 -Lore of Protection-

This Lore allows a magic-user to create magical barriers and counter unfriendly spells.

16-Lore of Undeath-

Practitioners of the Lore of Undeath can reach into the netherworld allowing them to summon undead minions, such as zombies, wraiths or skeletons.

 

17-Lore of Nature

The Lore of Nature allows for the manipulation of plants and control over the pure energy of Nature.

 

18-Lore of the Spirits-

Spirits are mysterious beings, and the Shamans who commune with them, use rituals to summon spirit ichor, which is the energy of the spirits given form.

19-Lore of Divination-

The seers and soothsayers who use the Lore of Divination use magic to see into the future and predict future events. These futures are never set in stone and can change with the slightest action.

 

20-Lore of the Mind-

The practitioners of this Lore can make an enemy see their worst memories and read other’s minds. Those powerful enough can even control another’s mind.

Generic Classes

 

Fighter = Warrior Archer Berzerker Knight Gladiator

 

Sorcerer = Daemonologist Necromancer Mage Shaman Priest

Fighter

Fighters are physically orientated combatants who pace their trust in their physical skills and weapons rather than play around with fancy spells.

-Warrior-

A master of many different weapons, the warrior uses their superior knowledge of warfare to become


some of the most deadly combatants in all of Wyrd.

 

-Berserker-

Berserkers are powerful warriors who have undergone rigorous trials and rituals. By drinking drake’s blood they are transformed given the strength of 3 men. They are truly terrifying on the battlefield.

 

 

-Archer-

Master marksmen, Archers use a plethora of different shots to take down their prey, from venomous barbs to explosive volleys and penetrating powershots.

 

 

-Knight-

Valiant heroes who favour one handed weapons and shields in combat they have taken vows to protect the innocent and weak and are always at the forefront of the battle defending their allies.

 

Gladiator

Gladiators are punishing heavy melee fighters, using their strength to crush their enemies, they are at the forefront alongside Knights but they find the best defence to be offence.

 

 

Sorcerer

 

Many on Rimvar are born with the ability to tap into the energy of the universe and utilize his to cast various magics.

 

Daemonologist

Masters of dark and daemonic spells, a Daemonologist can summon daemons and control them, as well as blasting foes with hellfire. At the height of their power they can transform themselves into a daemon for a limited period.

 

-Necromancer-

The Necromancer uses the Lore of Undeath to resurrect the dead as mindless zombies or summon wraiths and phantoms to torture their enemies.

 

Mage-

The mage can draw on a variety of Lores, but chiefly the Lore of the Arcane and the Lore of Motion. They can also use limited amounts of the Lore of Elements. They focus on damaging enemies

 

-Shaman-

A Shaman can reach into the Spirit World to draw power into a tangible matter known as spirit ichor. With this they can enhance themselves or allies, throw it at their enemies in devastating bolts or summon totems.

 

-Priest-

Priests are magic users who have chosen the path of the divines. They use holy magic to both smite their foes and heal their enemies.

 

 

Rogue

Rogues are all dirty fighters,  they utilize more unorthodox techniques in combat and focus on speed rather then Strength.

-Assassin-

Assassins are shadows, stealthy killers who are nigh undetectable until the moment the blade pierces their victim’s skin. They can use poisons as well as extreme skill with daggers and knives to bring their targets down.

 

-Sniper-

Snipers are always deadly accurate using rifles or crossbows to kill their prey from the distant shadows.

-Outlaw-

 The outlaw is a swashbuckling daredevil, always using speed to his advantage he can make quick work of any opponent generally in the flashiest way possible.

Primal

The various orders of primals draw upon the ancient engrained power of the world, be it life, death or the manipulation of the elements primals can be the most steadfast of allies and the deadliest of foes

Druid-

Druids utilize the three so called Green Lores. The Lore of Nature, the Lore of the Wild and the Lore of Beasts. They use the powers of nature itself to heal allies, blast enemies and shapeshift into animals.

 

Elementalists-

These magic users use their connections with elemental spirits to cast spells using the four major elements. They can also use runes to some extent. Doing so utilizes the Lore of Elements.

 

 

-Graven-

The Graven are a secretive order, for good reason. Many in Rimvar abhor the Lore of Death, which is the primary source of a Graven One’s power. They use it to attack enemies not just physically but spiritually, striking their enemy’s soul.

 

 

Vindicator

A Vindicator is a deadly foe as not only are they extremely adept with weapons but are also skilled in certain forms of magic, making them dangerous on both points.

Templar

Templars are righteous warriors strengthened by the power of a god, most dedicate their lives to the Lightbringer and use their gifts of divine magic to defend the innocent and meek.

 

-Risen Knight-

Risen knights are the epitome of necromantic resurrection. Great Warriors while alive, they are even better now, endowed with magical speed and strength, they use either a Black Blade or a Soulscythe in combat.

 

 

 

-Spellblade-

Spellblades use dual wielded glaives or swords that are etched with markings of power. The spellblade focuses magic energy to endow themselves with speed and create magic powered attacks.
