King of the Mushan 33 Posted December 18, 2017 It has been nearly twenty years since the Orcs first emerged from the Dark Portal, and a great evil is stirring in Lordaeron. Under the direction of the Dreadlord Mal'Ganis, the Cult of the Damned has been spreading plagued grain throughout Lordaeron for months. Isolated cases of undeath have been reported, but for the most part, the kingdom operates normally. That is, until Prince Arthas Menethil returns with an Army of Scourge. The city of Kalholme has been all but overrun, the last of the city's survivors banding together under their former Guard Captain, Marcus Jurath, to fortify one of the city's districts and hope beyond hope to hold out long enough to survive. King's Hold is a survival-themed phase with a light social experiment. Participants are placed in King's Hold, a small fortified settlement of survivors from the Scourge during the outbreak in Lordaeron, and must survive in any way they can. Against increasingly insurmountable odds and endless waves of ghouls, zombies, skeletons, and even more gruesome machinations of the fallen Prince Arthas, the survivors of King's Hold may only have two options: Die alone, Or die together.
