Thank you so much to the people who have attended our phase and made it a smash success! I have a lot on my plate to balance but I want to let everyone know the phase is being worked on daily and I have several events in mind (along with a series of short stories to expand on the town's lore). On that note, I've improved word flow in the last paragraphs of the first post and elaborated more on the town's history:

"Without a clear successor to Lord Reginald's line, Barathen's Bank exists today as a municipality of the Stormwind crown. While the region's apparent immunity to banditry is a topic of fascination for many, knowledgeable scholars speculate that more than a handful of relatives and operatives of the now defunct Defias Brotherhood have originated from the hamlet."

Expect a communique with details regarding our first few events in the near future, but until then, try talking to some of the NPCs while we're hosting -- there are unmarked mini-quests available throughout the phase!

P.S. -- I forgot to credit Tiariana for his wonderful graphics in the initial posting, and wanted to take the opportunity to do so now!

There will be an event on Friday, March 2nd, at 8:30 PM EST (2:30 AM server time)!

The first in our series of upcoming short stories has been published! "Barathen's Bank: Timely Encounters" can be read here. Be sure to give it a read if you plan on attending and want a bit of additional background lore. As the phase develops, more short stories will be published, and they will correlate to events in-game!

Presently, Captain Pritchard and several of his footmen are soliciting able adventurers and passersby for their aid in escorting a caravan through Elwynn Forest. The delivery is scheduled to be made once the sun has set several days from now.

The doors to Barathen's Bank's very own auction house have opened. Bidding is scheduled to begin in approximately thirty minutes, but early patrons are invited to enjoy pastries and coffee.

--The event ad from Friday, March 16th.

Chaos at the Auction House!

An otherwise pleasant evening took a turn for the worse when an impatient nobleman entered into a bidding war, calling on the local guardsmen to remove his competition from the auction altogether! Despite making an appearance, Mayor Augustus Gale was nowhere in sight throughout the incident and has made no public comment regarding the noble's indignant behavior.

Congratulations to our winners for the items listed below:

  • Conjured Mana Gem - 'The Planar Vagabond,' a cowled man who was not present to collect his item. An arrest warrant has since been issued for his failure to pay.
  • Bertha the Award-Winning Pig - Galia Haselwood, who is delighted to offer her newfound friend a warm home.
  • Antiquated Elven Armor Suit - Lord Garrowith, a passing nobleman, was eager to collect this trophy item for a hefty sum of two hundred gold.
  • Nat Pagle's Old Fishing Rod - Davith Flounder, with the help of a local adventurer! It is rumored Flounder repaid this debt in fish, and not gold.
  • Farm Deed - The deed to a refurbished estate in Barathen's Bank was auctioned off, but appears to have gone missing! The town council is unable to finalize the transaction without proper documentation. Where could it have disappeared to?

Below are some screenshots from the event, along with the deed to the farm that was auctioned off.
