TheDemon 109 Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) Here is a little shortie I decided to write on a rather peculiar request. Long ago, before the First war, far beyond mountains and rivers, there was a small village and in that village lived a young boy. It was not an ordinary boy, he had a secret known only to few. In an old hut near the forest, where old hermit once lived, he found a treasure – his secret. Scrills in a chest and books on shelves, all about magic, he now wanted to learn. At nights he sneaked out to read the books and practice spells, he didn’t want any eye to see him. But there was one, unknown to him, an eye sharper than any, watching him every night study. One day, at the dawn of spring, someone came to his home to visit. An older man, a colourful robe, he spoke swiftly and sharply about all that he known. He came for a boy with a talent for magic, he came from Dalaran. The boy was surprised that he knew his secret, but he wanted to go. He wanted to see the city, meet the mages and to study for real. He packed up his things and said his goodbye and he left to learn about magic. Time has passed and boy has grown, good man, a skilled mage he became. Respected he was and praised by many, but he wanted to grow more. Good nature he had, even loved by students and friends with many mages. But then, something changed. In old locked scrips he learned to fear, he read about evil greater than any. About a void of hungering darkness, set to consume all. Curious and afraid he broke the rules and studied in secret, studied what he should not. In the search for strength, he found a teacher, one who served the good king of snow. The king knew the truth, or that’s what he thought, so he trained and learned with others who joined. He gave up his life and cursed his souls for hideous creatures he saw, he became monster himself to fight them all. I hope you like it, buddy.
