Hello and welcome to my Mod Compendium! When I'm on my PC, I mess around with graphics and WoW mods in between my server duties and building. This Compendium will include some of my personal projects and any bits and pieces I've been making in my spare time. Most of the items will eventually become their own standalone items as we continue to upgrade the CDN, but for now they will remain as replacers unfortunately.

DISCLAIMER: Epsilon still does not officially support the use of custom patches, so please do not use the #support channels in Discord for help with malfunctioning custom patches. However, if my mod specifically gives you trouble, please don't hesitate to PM me and I'll personally try to fix the problem.

UPDATED 10/09/2019

Spoiler

This patch replaces the abandoned 'Defense of the Alehouse' MOBA style map that was in development for Mists of Pandaria with a Stormsong Valley tileset palette. Considering we have a whole load of BFA objects and no matching zones to spawn in, I decided that I'd retexture the map to fill a void I felt when building. So, now the townlong steppes vibe of the valleys have been replaced with fields of lush green grass for all to build upon! Enjoy!

To find the Defense of the Alehouse map, simply use ".tele Alehouse"!

UPDATED 10/09/2019

Spoiler

This patch replaces the Tier 20 Shaman Set, the Tier 20 Paladin Helmet, the Draenor Cloth LFR set, Legion Demon Shields, a number of lesser used Tabards, the 7.2 Plate Legion collection and some of the Argent Tournament Lances. I know that a majority of the players on the server aren't particularly a fan of Elves, and that's fine. Personally, I've always found some enjoyment in their style and architecture, so I wanted to bring more variety to the already released heritage armours. This patch includes (Post Mogit links into chat box to receive set preview):

Tabards

FAQ.gif.75ec5279a6d029a7cbe32cb23fc3d519.gif

Q: Why have you replaced the set that I like?

Spoiler

A: There's actually a logical and technical reason for me picking the Shaman set to replace. There are other sets mentioned in the posts below that could indeed be replaced. However, first and foremost; to replace something - it has to exist in that form to begin with, I cannot make a robe out of something that appears in-game as trousers, not without editting the item DB2 which comes with a whole host of its own problems. Mage T20 has no foot collection for example. DH T21 has no chest collection or robe. None of the Legion monk sets have robes either as far as I can see, and if they did they'd be missing something else, hopefully you can begin to see what I'm saying.

So, when I'm looking at the Blood Elf heritage armour, it has a robe, collections for the chest, gloves, boots, a buckle, helmet, shoulders and cape. I know that sounds like everything most sets have but honestly it isn't, trying to find a robe that also uses a foot collection is difficult, and after weighing up my options the Shaman T21 set is the candidate mechanically closest to the Blood Elf heritage armour than anything else in game, it has most of the matching components, it just misses one thing; an open helmet - which is why only the singular paladin helmets have been replaced, they are both crown looking so not so bad to replace, and they also show hair, voila.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the whole topic, as we continue to upgrade the CDN hopefully these can be made into standalone items and won't have to replace anything - it's just a case of patience. And if you're not a fan of replacers, honestly neither am I so I completely understand!

Spoiler

10/09/2019 - V1.1
- Completed the Onyx set by replacing the mythic variants of the shoulders and buckles.
- Shoulders made to work with .phys, allowing the ribbons to move freely as they do on retail, this change will only work when 735.4 is released.

Thank you once again @gardener, credits for basically all of this.

These look great. Elves will like those.

This could have been a great mod. Unfortunately it replaces one of the best Tier sets.

Why not replace something that is objectively ugly? Like mages T20, or DHs T21, or any of the legion monk sets.

Well, first of all, the opinion that this tier set is one of the best is subjective, as is your opinion on the others you mentioned!

But, none of that matters anyway because there's actually a logical and technical reason for me picking the Shaman set. The other sets you mentioned could indeed be replaced, but to replace something, it has to exist in that form to begin with. Mage T20 has no foot collection. DH T21 has no chest collection or robe. Maybe I should make an FAQ section.

I noticed that the patch mixes up with the Kul Tiran coats' one and since I favour the latter above all, would you please tell me if I re-apply the coats' patch, will I lose much of yours? Yours is a great one, don't get me wrong, certainly don't want to miss out on anything if possible. But if it gets too messed up, I don't think there'd be a reason to keep it.

There's a version you can download that doesnt replace the kul tiran coat patch. He listed it right under the first download: Download (No Coats)

Very pretty.

But:

1. Is there a way to get the Onyx set completed? With Shoulder, Waist and long sleaved Robe? (Tabard and Cloak are not that important)

2. Is there a way to fix the shields to be weilded as shieds? Currently it does this

Spoiler

Very nice.

But:

Some of the gear you're replacing I actually do use on a semi-regular basis.

Why not have these models and textures replace old-ass Vanilla content or duplicates thereof?

2. The shield will work, you just need to select the right version of it in Mogit, or from .look item, they all have different sheathes.

Hey, I did answer this in the F.A.Q. already posted in the thread, and in a reply just a couple of posts up - but I'll copy the answer in again I suppose. 😂

Cool story bro.

Would be great to get more custom armor in future CDN releases. I always love having the option but yeah, I'm not really a fan of texture replacement unless it's a clear visual upgrade of the previous item.

And yeah, that's fair, although the opinion on whether it's a clear visual upgrade or not is subjective. Sorry it doesn't do it for you though!

The tool for adding custom items etc to the CDN doesn't exist yet, so until then all current patches will replace existing items.

It's up to the end-user to decide what they wish to download and install.
