Spoiler

Regarding Applicants - I am looking for greener and fresher-faced characters to join in this Campaign; enough substance
to add some of their own personality to the party; with less over-abundant pages of backstory or previous roleplay engagement.

This Campaign is reliant on progression, and more accepting of characters with lesser established roleplay under their belt.
This is for the benefit of the roleplay; its opportunity of progression; party engagement and Dungeon Master material - in what can be conjured.

Name:                 -  James Cassingrove
Race:                   - Human
Profession:          - Weaponsmith
Desired Class:     -  Warden

Brief Character Backstory (this will affect the prologue event of your character if accepted):
- James Cassingrove - once one of the most promising young blacksmiths in Stormwind. Abandoned at birth by his irresponsible mother, James was found and adopted by a family of Bronzebeard dwarves and was raised in Menethil Harbor. The young Cassingrove sought to make a name for himself. Following the steps of his everloving adoptive father Mogi, a blacksmith, James travelled through Khaz Modan in his teenage years learning the craft and studying the Eastern Kingdoms' native ores and minerals, with the advantage of fluency in Dwarvish taught to him by his mother. He met with renowned artisans and ambitious journeymen who taught him the profession inside out throughout the years, allowing him to settle in Stormwind and estabilish himself as a respectable weaponsmith. After the events of the Cataclysm, James returned to Menethil Harbor only to find his childhood home ravaged by disaster, with none of his family members to be found. Desperate and wayless, James quickly became an alcoholic and fell into depression. Surviving on his craft and heavy liquor, his face quickly spread amongst posters and warning signs around the Wetlands, where he made a home for himself plundering and assaulting caravans with his intricate traps and mechanisms. In a chaotic search for purpose, James Cassingrove stumbles upon an unexpected fate..

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
- Although James used to be a mild mannered and rational young man, his mental health has gone downhill after the events of the Cataclysm. He has become a bitter, cynical and scheming drunkard, as he seeks to find someone or something to blame for his family's disappearance. He is grumpy, unsettled and impatient.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?
- I work 12 hour days on a fixed pattern so I have free whole days to spend. I work Saturday and Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Monday, with four days off in between each cycle. I will have a week of holiday starting on the 20th April, so I will be able to participate in the first event for sure.

What time zone are you based in?
- UK

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?
- Yes, as long as it is not something stupid like getting crushed by a free falling boulder, I'd like for it to be somewhat meaningful and related to the character's struggling search for self-purpose.

Name:                 - "Captain" Gershwind Ehrhardt
Race:                   - High Elf
Profession:         - Archaeologist
Desired Class:     - Marksman

Brief Character Backstory (this will affect the prologue event of your character if accepted):
Ehrhardt is.. well, the simplest explanation is "late". Born in Quel'thelas, he showed an early interest in the research - and eventual acquisition - of Highborn Elven antiquities. Born too late to make any true breakthroughs into Quel'dorei history, he nevertheless found a niche in Thalassian culture as a treasure hunter and 'specialist of artefact acquisitions'. When the Orcs fled to Kalimdor, he joined the Kul Tirans in pursuit - solely, of course, so that he might lay first claim to any new archaeological discoveries. He was very, very far away from home when the Sunwell was destroyed. The expedition dragged for months. By the time the archaeologist returned, his people - the High Elves - were no more. The Sin'dorei had left for Outland in massive numbers, and his entire civilisation was shattered. Refusing the temptation of the Fel, Ehrhardt was technically exiled from Quel'thelas. Years have passed, and he has yet to return. Cut off from magic, he drifted from digsite to digsite, claiming artefacts in the name of his people, but more often than not selling them for miserly profit.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
- Captain Ehrhardt is an arrogant, self-obsessed narcissist. He cannot stand getting dirty, being hurt, or being inconvenienced in any way. However, in these tough times, when the fortune you are so clearly owed is nowhere to be found, he is beginning to buckle down and think within the realms of practicality. He is as likely to aid the Horde in the excavation of an orcish tomb, as he is to appear amongst the Guild of Explorers on a jaunt into the deserts of the Eastern Kingdoms. Anything that keeps gunpowder in his pistols, and food in his belly.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?
- As much as I can! I can pretty much always make myself available, with enough warning.

What time zone are you based in?
- UK/GMT

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?
- Usually, yes, but I love Gershwind far too much to let him go out like a chump!

Name:                 -  Badoula Oblongata
Race:                   -  Goblin
Profession:          -  Engineer
Desired Class:     -  Shaman

Brief Character Backstory (this will affect the prologue event of your character if accepted):
- Badoula Oblongata is about as Goblin as they come. Born and raised in Booty Bay, she's spent most of her life navigating the intrigues of the Steamwheedle-Blackwater alliance, and trying to build a reputation as an engineer, in order to make her fortune. She isn't very talented. Mostly, she's fallen into doing basic repair-work, kitchen fittings and plumbing, dreaming of one day setting up a workshop of her own. Booty Bay - hive of scum and Goblainy that it is - sees all sorts passing through, and Badoula's used to meeting people from all over the Alliance and the Horde.

Soon enough, however, Stranglethorn is ravaged by storms that tear the land apart as Deathwing soars overhead. Many of Badoula's friends and acquaintances go missing, and work begins to dry up, as the focus of the Cartels shift away from Booty Bay. It became a turning point for Badoula, and she began to realise that she wasn't getting any closer to having the stability and independence she wanted. So she tucked all her belongings into a backpack, and set off, heading North, in search of work.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
- Badoula is chipper and personable, always pleased to be meeting people of all walks of life, but still a Goblin, and often met with suspicion. She frequently assumes the best of people, and wanders into danger because of it. Cheerful vice.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?
- I work up to 6 hours a day on weekdays, am thus generally around! ?

What time zone are you based in?
- UK/GMT

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?
- I've a fondness for Badoula, and will have to say no. Perhaps eventually. Any other consequences thrown my way I accept gladly.

Name:                 - Relena Snowbreeze
Race:                   - Kaldorei - Night Elf
Profession:          - Medic - Vagabond
Desired Class:     - Shaman - Shapeshifter

Brief Character Backstory (this will affect the prologue event of your character if accepted):
- Relena Snowbreeze, born in Winterspring and spending most of her life there alongside her mother. Living alone in the more isolated planes of the snowy mountains near the ruins of the old highborne kingdoms, they lived as simple lives as they could. Living off what they knew of the local animals and plant life, working with the goblins of Everlook as local healers and guides- evidently on a hunting trip her mother was gorged by a lost boar who was armored up to be a mount. Leaving Relena to trying to tend to her mothers wounds but eventually failing in the endeavor. Leaving her to be lost within the snow of winterspring

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
-Relena is an optimist with an (annoyingly) chipper voice, talking about the better of every situation and how after everything blows over they could get some hot chocolate with marshmellows. She usually sees the good in everyone but is extremely hot-headed, and if she is pushed enough she will eventually start giving death threats over someone shooting her optimism down.

She prayed to the Light hoping he would return but to no avail.  Weeks passed before she came to terms with his death no body was found, and she felt uneasy burying an empty coffin. She’d take down the sign and close his shop packing things away to be locked in the Cellar. There she found a Box, locked away with a letter attached for Her. Name:                 - Marcia Pike
Race:                   - Human
Profession:          - Deacon
Desired Class:     - Cleric

Brief Character Backstory (this will affect the prologue event of your character if accepted):
- Marcia has always been altruistic and charitable. Even in childhood, she always took the opportunity to help her friends with even the most menial of tasks. This meant she was cherished by the small village in Northern Lordaeron where she resided. This amicability from her peers, and some small prodding from her parents, led her to join the clergy and become a priestess when she was but a teen. Such an early initiation, of course, only amplified her qualities, and she became a sort of paragon of her abbey. However, with time, she became more and more secluded, and opted instead to focus on her studies. After all, there was much she had yet to master, and even more she had yet to learn.

After the fall of Lordaeron, Marcia was left without a purpose for a time. She had no choice but to take refuge in the regions unaffected by the blight of the scourge, which eventually led her to the new human capital of Stormwind. There she took residence for the foreseeable future, and found a position within the Cathedral of Stormwind. She has been keeping faithful ever since, hoping that one day she would be able to return and see her home once more.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
- Marcia is a soft-spoken, kindhearted clergywoman, who busies herself with the needs of others over her own. Her faith remains unchallenged, and she believes with every ounce of her being that the light will prevail in all. She especially shies away from battle because of her affectionate nature. However, that is not to say she lacks prowess, and she would jump at the chance to assist an ally in any way she can.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?
- I am mostly free during the day, but can't reliably stay active past 8 or 9pm.

What time zone are you based in?
- UK/GMT

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?
- If warranted, yes.

Race:                   - Human
Profession:          - Explorer, Peddler of Rare Relics
Desired Class:     - Sorceror

Brief Character Backstory:

Born in a small hunting community in the Highlands; at a young age he was sent to Dalaran for his studies together with his twin sister. Rebellious and callous, with a deep seeted need for knowledge he was aspiring to be a sucessful mage, but after the Scourge had sacked the city he found himself far away from and lost, with his sister missing and presumed dead. He spent some time as a mercenary, working odd jobs just to sustain himself while looking for his sister, and interesting artifacts and books that may deepen his knowledge of the arcane.

Name:                 - Perton Derryn
Race:                   - Human
Profession:          - Questing Swordsman
Desired Class:      - Paladin

Brief Character Backstory:
- A young man that has been serving the Brotherhood of Northshire for a few years and, after his trials, aspires to be a full and true paladin.

Perton is reluctant however to speak of his wealthy upbringing and his past in general, saying only that he petitioned the Brotherhood without the support of his father, Lord Anton Derryn, a Stormwind noble whose line is renown for their mercantile exploits.

Since he could not be sponsored as a squire, Perton chose the route of the questing warrior instead, and has taken part in many small skirmishes against the lesser threats of Elwynn ever since. He is confident that his deeds will prove worthy of his knighthood, even if sometimes the man seems to be trying to convince himself of that fact more than anyone.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
- Perton is best described as an ally of justice and of all that stand for a right cause, though often this makes him look down on those that don't embody the ideals that he ( and most importantly, the order he seeks to be a part of ) represents. He has a tendency to overcompensate his insecurities through unabashed impulsiveness and one-upmanship, traits that can sometimes cast a shadow over the very ideals he strives to uphold and cherish; a fact that concerns some in the Brotherhood.

Despite these faults his heart stands in the right place, and Perton shall abide no wicked and wantonly cruel people in his company.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?

- WHENEVER I'M NOT RAIDING ULDUAR IN THE EVENINGS.

What time zone are you based in?
- GMT+1

Name:                 Zevana Hollowsong
Race:                   Quel'dorei
Profession:          Exotic Dancer
Desired Class:     Warlock

Brief Character Backstory (this will affect the prologue event of your character if accepted):

Zevana was one of the Quel'dorei to survive the fall of Quel'thalas and take refuge among the denizens of Dalaran. Unlike her brethren, she did not consort with demons and find herself locked away by Garithos. Things would change, of course... Over time. The woman began as a sorceress. A capable one at that. She served her people as a combatant on the front lines, utilizing arcane to take down enemies of Dalaran during the Northrend campaign, and subsequently after the Shattering during the wake of Deathwing's madness.

It was in Northrend that she met Nolric. A man that lead her down the path of power. And demons. Though she'd always been told of the dangers of fel, and how the Sin'dorei let it control them... Here was a man that had done the opposite. No consumption. No loss of control. He controlled it. She saw his power on the frontlines. Draining enemies, consuming their souls and using the power to boost his own magic and keep himself alive. It was fascinating. And so she began her studies.

Over the course of Azeroth's struggle against undead and shadowy monsters, Zevana trained her abilities, taking up the proper mantle of Warlock during the campaign against Deathwing. She commanded fel, consumed the energy of her enemies, and crushed those in her wake. Unlike Nolric... She was not humble about this. It changed her, made her haughty and spoiled. And so it showed. She believed herself incapable of failure, and worthy of greatness... And that attitude would follow her all the way to Pandaria, where she planned to unlock the ancient history of the lost land and make it her own.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:

Zevana is a high brow, haughty Quel'dorei who has bratty tendencies. She's been spoiled by her power and knowledge, and fails to acknowledge her own shortcomings. From her looks to her abilities, she believes herself a cut above the rest. This can make her reckless and overbearing when not put in her place. As with most brats, a proper reprimanding does keep her off her pedestal when enforced from time to time.

As an exotic dancer on the side, Zevana's adoring regulars have convinced her she is the pinnacle of beauty. Frankly, she is quite pretty, but the confidence she exudes can be nearly overwhelming. When necessary, she'll bat her lashes and pull out the charm to get what she wants, but she'd never admit she actually had to try to get it. In Pandaria, she knows she's going to need allies. And begrudgingly, she'll take what she can get. Her allies have never been up to snuff, in her eyes, and have fallen around her time and time again during the battles presented to her on Azeroth. She prays one day this will change, but has little hope for those that accompany her.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?

Name: Brisha
Race: Half-Orc
Profession: Brawler
Desired Class: The Fighter - Berserker

Brief Character Backstory:

Brisha was cursed from conception. Her mother forsook her the moment she was born, and so she spent much of her early life in orphanages across Alliance lands. There, she faced all manner of terrible things: abusive matrons, deriding peers, and cruel townsfolk all served to embitter her to the world. She was swaddled in violence, and so, once she was of age, she did what she knew best—she fought. A life of brawling in tavern basements and back alleys was not at all what she desired, but it was all she felt she could do. At least until she crossed paths with a kind soul in one of her frequent haunts; it was her words that empowered Brisha to do better, to be better. From then on, she vowed to make something of herself. She would not perish on the streets like a mutt… instead, she would be a hero.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:

Brash and a touch insolent, Brisha was not exactly the most enjoyable person to be around. She was quick to judge and even quicker to insult; such behavior was standard for her, however, so she did not see any issue with it. Bullheadedness got her more brawls, and therefore more gold. Now that she is moving into the next chapter of her life, she may realize that this attitude she held onto is more harmful than helpful—she is in the prime time of her life to change as a person, and so time will tell if these traits remain. Conversely, a more positive aspect of her personality was her compassion; she would always stick up for the little man, no matter what, for she knew how torturous it was to be on the very bottom.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?

A lot, probably! I do prefer doing things on Fridays and Saturdays; if I have anything to do, it’s usually on those days, and I usually get done by 2 PM or 3 PM EST.

What time zone are you based in?

EST!

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?

Absolutely. Mess her up.

THROMGAR HOWLSTEEL
THE SCION

???

BRONZEBEARD DWARF
Wandering Scion

Desired Class:     - THE DEXTEROUS MARKSMAN

Brief Character Backstory
Let nay any father, brother or uncle tell thee of the Story of Thromgar. Shame has come to his Clan, his Thegn-and-Father, since his birth. Eighty years have passed since the day the old Thegn of the Howlsteel Clan in the far reaches of Dun Morogh would father his first and only son, with the young and boisterous Brida, Clan-less and wandering maiden of dun Morogh. Sadly, her life was restless, and the old Thegn did not interest her as he did once. Indeed, Thromgar is a creation of one of her illustrious adventures out into the fields of merriment and debauchery. Quickly, the Thegn sought to legitimize his bastard, still needing, and wanting, a song. However, the hot blood of his mother seeped through Thromgar, and those that saw him as Bastard would also see him as scoundrel and fool. He preferred the flute and lute, over the song of the hammer. he preferred to use his voice and guile, rather than that of his power, even as a Son of a Thegn. And he never preferred to cross short distances, seeking to take his enemies on with bow and arrow- and from the back. Despite this, the Scion of Howlsteel Clan would become popular, not only to other hot-blooded and Young Dwarven men and boys, but also to many a woman. Finally, the Thegn sought to teach him of life, and has now sent out the young Dwarf into the wider world, that which he does not know of as much as he'd want to. Besides, how bad can it be...?

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
Thromgar is hot-headed, arrogant, playful and quite charming. The Dwarven features are there, but his beauty compliments his voice and demeanor. Preferring parley and speech over blood and steel, he will always seek the route of the bloodless. Though this may ostracize him from other Dwarves, he does not care for such barbarities and prefers to go with the teachings of his mother: Peace before War.

Name:                 - Jebeddo "Scumbleduck" Ningcl
Race:                   - Gnome
Profession:          - Scholar
Desired Class:     - Occultist

Brief Character Backstory (this will affect the prologue event of your character if accepted):
- Born in the trade port town of Menethil Harbor to a couple of quiet-living anglers. There he grew up learning the fishing trade of his mother and father who had moved away from Gnomeregan not long before his birth. Mr. & Mrs. Ningcl were oddly content, for a pair of gnome, to be spending their days in humble trade and fishing by net and rod. Jebeddo was never satisfied with the monotony of it as discovery and ingenuity was in his blood. After saving up enough money dozen years after he had come of age, he left his life there behind to venture to Stormwind where he would learn all he could about the world, its history, and the wonderful complexity of magic.

It was within the city of diversity he began a career as a scribe under the tutelage of a wizard within the Mage order, Ramshar Widalin, a fellow Gnome at that. There he spent his days joyously creating copies of history books, learning the lore as he went, as well as translating foreign languages and archaic dialects, which he acquired through the mentorship. The tomes that interested him the most to work on, however, were that of magic, arcane or otherwise. The less practiced and secretive the art, the more he desired to learn of it. This is what lead to his unfortunate descent down the rabbit hole of the occult.

Ramshar was always quick to dismiss Jebeddo's questions into the occult, calling the arts a lesser form of magic where risk outweighs reward. While, yes, all knowledge is good knowledge, the wise know what not to dabble in. Jebeddo, as intelligent as he was, still lacked the wisdom needed for such choices. His pursuit of the forbidden arts lead him to find like minds within the lower circles of the order. He did not make it far in his haphazard practices before him and his peers were discovered. Mere expulsion from the order was admittedly a lenient punishment given the damage such practices have dealt in the past.

Though being removed from methods of formal practice, Jebeddo still seeks to further himself in his practices as well as learn additional schools when possible. It will be a hard road ahead outside of a library, but there will be plenty to discover out in the unknown world.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
- Truly a knowledge seeker. He takes joy in reading about events of history and learning about how magics, deities, and otherworldly beings work. While occult may be his practiced school of magic, he doesn’t have a specific set focus on any particular subject. He just likes learning about all of it. He'll often be seen writing notes when coming across new locations or even recording conversations with strangers. As for how he is emotionally, generally good-natured. He is one who would help other people out with menial tasks should he see them struggling. Being a part of a settled community was once important to him, but now he considers his momentary company his community. Often becomes frustrated with disorder and likes things to be labelled and organized.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?
- I generally work 40 hour work weeks on shifts that can change week to week. If I'm not working I'll normally be available to play.

What time zone are you based in?
- Mountain Standard Time (-7)

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?
- Yes I am. The risk of failure and loss makes reward and success all the greater. Having genuine consequence is healthy in RP.

Name:                 - SLECHT HARDBREAD
Race:                   - DWARF
Profession:          - DEMOLITIONER
Desired Class:     -  MARKSMAN

Brief Character Backstory:
- Born and raised in Ironforge among a family within the Mining Guild, Slecht is, rather naturally, very interested in minerals. Very, very interested in minerals - so much so that in his young teens, he constructed a device that sends out magical discharges, and catches the reflections of anything more solid than rock. Over the many years it's been improved upon, set to only being able to detect unprocessed ore and nothing else. He always carries it in outings.

He is currently one of the top geologist students in the Ironforge Academy of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geology. To earn his major and a place in the Mining Guild Council, he has now been tasked with finding and starting a gold mine. He is, of course, after an entire twenty-something years being obsessed with minerals, not in it for the major, or the workless pay of a position in the council - he is in it for the gold.

A mastiff trained to sniff out truffles and metal follows him around. His name is "Giddie".

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
- If there is any one phrase to describe this man, it is "headstrong young man".

He will not pass up an opportunity to use his knowledge in chemistry and physics in order to demolish his way around a trap, to clamber up something, or to confuse a crowd of pursuers. The thing is, though... he is still very much a greenhorn. The things he's learned so far are certainly enough for him to clear a way and find a place with many gold deposits, but definitely not enough for him to start a gold mine.

A lot of knowledge, but next to no experience to pair it with. He likes to flaunt his knowledge where he can, though.

There is a diligence in him, both during work and downtime, yet there is also a somewhat thinly-veiled superiority complex somewhere in there - demolition experts with education from the most elite school are few and far between, after all. And that means every saved life is a handful of gold owed to him for his services - a living being must have skill that is useful for it to be considered an important asset that he must protect from damage. Otherwise, he will cut his losses.

Cutting losses, however, is called that for a reason - the loss of a useless life otherwise considered 'innocent' by the onlooker means a loss of reputation. Which means loss of customers, and then loss of money.

Thus instruct the commandments of the Mining Guild.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?
- A lot of time, but I will probably have a roleplay on Fridays and a D&D session on Sundays.

What time zone are you based in?
- GMT+3

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?
- I want to see Slecht go out with a literal bang if it ever happens.

Name: Perciville Hendrix

Race: Worgen

Profession: Harvest Witch

Desired Class: Botanist

Brief Character Backstory:

Perciville Hendrix is a Gilnean harvest witch with an aura of zeal which he hoists to every corner of the world. Perciville was born to a strict and devout family Gilneans who followed the "Old Ways" to the very root. His sole purpose has always been to commune with the land, and help it grow. After being strained to near exhaustion in his youth in order to provide sustenance for people around him, this prior stress seems ingrained in his psyche as an adult. In tandem with this stress came the Worgen curse during the events of the Cataclysm. While tending an orchard, Perciville was afflicted with the Worgen curse and subsequently shifted into a rabid and unhinged beast, slaughtering the little humanity keeping him bound to any form of reserved demeanour. After fleeing into the wilderness, the rabid fanatic was found amidst a sickly and suffocating mass of twisting foliage which seemed to grow to his monstrous whims. To his fortune he was discovered by the Cenarion Circle and blessed with the ability to control his ferocity, yet it seems the madness ever looms as he travels this world ravaged by Deathwing's destruction...

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:

Perciville has a zealous devotion to plants, something that has stayed with him throughout his mental anguish. His personality is abrasive, grandiose, and expansionist to say the least. He seeks nothing more than to further his twisted desire to grow the world into a suffocating bloom at heart.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?

I am finished with University and don't start my third year until early September, so I am completely free until then. After which I will have to review my schedule, however it should remain relatively open.

Which time zone are you based in?

UK

Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?

Yes, so long as a form of his affinity for plants has a semblance of a lasting effect. (Such as a bloom, sentient growth, etc etc.)

MEZBETH  |  THE LEPER

Name:                 Mezbeth
Race:                   Human
Profession:          Exile
Desired Class:    Paladin

Brief Character Backstory
Four years after Duskwood's desolation, a hideous child was born in under the sign of the blood moon. Pockmarked and disfigured, such a newborn would be received in any house as an ill omen and drowned in a washbasin or smothered before its first breath. This would, in all respects, be the benevolent thing to do. But the farmer's wife was weak in constitution and could not bring herself to kill a living thing. In the ruins of a collapsing barn, she kissed the child's wet head and tucked away the dull knife. She was stuck between worlds. She would not name her progeny, nor kill it. She would not show it off, nor love it on her own. Nameless and afraid, the thing would spend its infancy in a forgotten cellar, tended to no more like a beast than a houseplant.

Eventually, the child was discovered by a drunkard who had broken into the farmstead cellar in search of wine. The man retched when he looked upon the child's visage and abandoned his attempted thieving to warn the townspeople of an abomination in the skin of a child. It was not long before the flickering of torchlight was seen on the long dirt road. The farmer's wife pleaded with the townsfolk, but they would show little mercy. Her farmstead was burned in retribution for putting the town in danger, and the child was taken to Dreadwind Pass and left to die in the wilds.

After a week living off vermin and insects, a wandering hermit found the child on the road. The hermit saw a glimmer of humanity in the child and named her Mezbeth. He wrapped her in bandages so she would not be feared, and taught her the ways of the Light, so she would not be afraid. They lived together in a cave for some time, copying manuscripts in the day and sparring at night. They traveled to the marshes to the south in search of medicinal plants to soothe Mezbeth's sores. They heard many stories and told many more. Occasionally, they were separated in the swamps, but they always found their way back. Until the day she lost him for good.

In the end, Mezbeth was alone. She was always alone. And now, she had only his words and her faith to guide her.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis
Mezbeth is devoted to the teachings of the Light, but is in the process of developing her moral compass. Still in her youth (mid-20s) and wise to the ways of the world, she's figuring out whether humanity is worth protecting when it can be so cruel and alienating to people like her. Having experienced a great loss, she will go to the ends of Azeroth to protect her close allies. But at the same time, she is wary of the intentions of others. She can also be masochistic, flagellating herself for her mistakes.

She has hope that there's a cure out there for her disfigurement, but something at the back of her mind tells her she'll always be like this.

How much time can you commit to this campaign?

KOSMAS TIREAU

THE STARGAZER

Race:                   Human
Profession:          Astronomer
Desired Class:     Warlock

Brief Character Backstory:
A moderately wealthy family on the rise — through many a political marriage and some more intrigue — the Tireaus were, by the time of the child's birth, part of the elite circle of aristocracy within Stormwind. Delighted at the opportunity to use him as a means to progress further, his father, a knight with some battle renown from the last war, wasted no time in hiring tutors for the little Kosmas, who was then from early age taught swordplay and the many sciences. The child had however been born with weak and brittle bones, almost every fall and hit causing breakage and massive bruising which impeded his career in waging war, to the misfortune of his father.

With each year he became more and more a stain on the esteemed family name. With nothing else to latch onto, he focused on growing his mind and studying; becoming fascinated with the concept of space and venturing into the astral sky. A brilliant student and academic, he graduated with incredible haste from the University of Stormwind; and eventually even managing to gain access to further studies in Dalaran, exploring the many magical books and research papers at his disposal, even publishing some of his own.

Through his studies, on a particular evening while stargazing, an activity he did with relentless perseverance daily; he browsed the sky, going beyond the stars he'd seen, and beyond yet. Somewhere in the dark of the extraterrestrial, he saw a glimpse of something terrifying which shook him to the core. The thing moved, then opened an eye; then thousands of them suddenly stared back from the darkness at the scientist. He felt them burrow deep within his mind, and then only blackness. By the time he woke up, he was in a desert, thousands of miles away from his home in Dalaran; left with no knowledge or memory of the incident or how he ended up where he is now; left only with a faint, gnawing feeling, buried deep within himself.

Brief Character Personality Synopsis:
A frail and weak man, in both body and character. Most of his life he had been sheltered from the harsh nature of the world, which had left him very reserved and non-confrontational, avoiding the company of other people whenever possible. He'd been a scientist through and through, believing that everything could, in the end, be explained by logic and the original make up of the universe; magic was only magic because it wasn't understood enough, and the gods were only the begins who understood it better than the mortals.

How much time can you commit to the campaign?

Probably once a week.

What time zone are you based in?
 GMT +1
Are you comfortable with character death for this roleplay?
Yes.
