Silmariel 9 Posted July 24, 2017 When you use .lookup for something with a lot of results (say, more than 100, example .lookup spell arcane), you get fifty results and then a line suggesting .lookup next for the next fifty. They are, properly, in numerical order. So far, so good. When you go ahead and .lookup next, you do not only get fifty results, it will completely fill your chat buffer. These results are also not sorted in numerical order. (to reproduce: .lo sp arcane, .lo next) Some searches will not continue at all when you .lookup next after the first fifty. Example .lo it dominance, which does not contain [Staff of Dominance] on the first page (therefore there must be additional results), but does not offer further results when you .lo next. (to reproduce: .lo it dominance, .lo next) Most searches, even those that are initially sorted numerically, will still have items on the second page that should have been on the first. .lo spell celestial, for example, gives you the spells ranging from 74186 through 146640 in the first iteration containing the word 'celestial', sorted numerically, but .lo next gives you spells ranging from 39721 to 117313 (unsorted), an extremely counterintuitive result. I'm presuming that perhaps this is the result of sorting the results after breaking them up into groups of fifty, rather than before. (to reproduce .lo spell celestial, .lo next)
