IC INTRODUCTION

Chapter I: No Honor

<Realising that the leader of the Arc Light vanished, a battle starts, and it the church of the Arc Light leaves with it's members. Years later, the Church of Saint Julius forms to stop the Arc Light once and for all, but the Church is consisted of zealots. Drums of war can be heard from the distance, and the first action was an attack on the Arc Light camp in Swamp of Sorrow. Arc Light sent a request to mercenaries, to aid them, and that's where they can help (You can help).>

OOC Introduction:

Welcome to the Battle between Saint Julius Vs Arc Light. Or a placeholder name "The Crown". This Phase will introduce into a new type of Roleplay, while keeping old aspects obviously.

How it works?

There is a system put in place, where people can roleplay either factions in seperate guilds. This roleplay is a military based roleplay with a little of casual aspect, with a story driven concept. Meaning, the only linear path is the outcome of major characters, and story altering quests, not the events. The player at first get introduced at both factions in the same place, yet different actions in a chronological way. Currently it starts with the Arc Light, and how they are dealing with the attack from Church Of Saint Julius (Saint Julians). Over the domination of Arkalion Harbor. The Arc Light was suffering from plague barrels detonation inside the harbor, killing many people, and bringing them back to life as undead, yet the reason is unknown. Them, being surrounded by two parts they had to act. They secured an escape to civilians, through a portal, and with that the Mage who opened the portal. Yet, the mage opens it time to time for support. Player will have to fight among the lines of the Arkalion Soldiers, to give enough time for others to escape ultimately. Later on, player will shift back intime a little to discover, why the attack failed, and how Arc Light sent an ambush Force to keep the enemy surrounded, just how they are. The Player will know some major characters, and witness the death of one of them. Then players can decide which faction they would join.  From that point, everyone will start normally. This scenario is repeatable until enough players join in.

The events are divided into four types:

Story Events: Where player can experience the story from their faction, and know what happens. Depending on location and enemy. Generally they would fight against DM'd npcs, or do a quest that don't include enemy faction PLAYERS (not npcs). Overall to explore the story, and immerse the average player deep within.

Multiplayer events: In another word PVP. Where people would be put into an area that is conflicted between the factions and can fight both DM'd npcs, and players. This can be started by players or a DM (if it is under the story section) It is also bound by the current events, but the MP events are major changers to dominance. But- In order to not strip the fun from anyone, the story will be there to keep the balance.

Prologues: Players each beginning of a chapter or an important part of it, will be introduced into the factions. During these events players can switch sides for their reasons (Do not make them Personal with other players, if you join. Your story will progress no matter what happens, or population. I did consider that, that's why i'm putting a balance limit in that.) Out of that period none can switch. Switching a faction means a rank lower in the other. The aim of these prologues is to get a vision of MAJOR events from both sides, and not only one. So they RP the same thing (Almost), twice.

Now, to the ranks:

Each faction has it's ranks, and they are not bound by any outer faction leadership. Due to the fact that the Arc Light is considered an Organization, A Task Force, A mercenary group more than being bound by a faction. While in the other side the Church is more organized as a military group lead by a group of paladins and highly experienced Pyromancers. (Order of the flame) That being said, they contain the same ladder, containing 9 ranks each faction. To preserve the length, this part will be a spoiler.

Arc Light - Church Of Saint Julius (Counterparts)

Spoiler

Nightbringer --> Dawnbringer

The highest rank of them all. The leaders of the Arkalion Army, and Saint Julius Holy Flame. They get to decide altering decisions, risky ones more so. They can initiate high orders. Each of these two are the personalities that resemble the factions, with their strength, wisdom, charisma, and most importantly trust.

Whiteguard --> Flameheart

The second in leader, each member of these is tasked to organized a group under them (As in mages for mages, rangers for rangers). They take most decisions, and are first in battle. They are the true face of Bravery, Honor, Pride.

Black Knight --> Holy Knight

This ranks is almost the same as the rank above, yet they are the most connected and dedicated leaders. They are a friend for their comrades, and unbeatable force to their enemies. They can't die so easily, nor they are immortal. They hold the flag with pride, if they fall. Then everything falls with them.

Wild Combatant --> Dawnblade

Battle-Scarred warriors, Hounds who don't know defeat. They are tasked with the toughest missions, of any. They stand behind the Whiteguard/Flameheart. They speak the language of the sword. The emotion of fear within them, is non-existant.

Captain:

The person who sents balance between being a leader, and a fighter. A person who represents the contact point between the lower ranks, and the higher. A person who takes place in decisions, and the dinning table. A person who is loved and hated. He is so strict, yet so merciful. A captain, is a perfect example to thriving to his Inferiors, and being a humble man to his superiors.

Elite:

Through fighting, they gain experience. Though they are not as valuable as the others, but most people who stand here, are nothing to be messed around. This place, if held it is something to be proud of. They are the gods, of the underdogs. Do not turn a blind eye to a 'dog, he may blind you. Some of them are even capable of killing the highest ranks.

Lower Combatant --> Fire Crusader

The core of both factions. These resemble the most of enlisted members. They fight every battle, take every blame, meet every arrow, with a smile on their faces. Yet they play an important role to insure victory. Their actions stand out more than any of the high ranked, even if they are in almost the bottom.

Infantry:

Enlisted members, with basic needs, they fight as much as they can. They are happy to win, sad to be bullied by almost every other rank. Doing an action here and there.

Initiate:

They have a famous sentence: "PLEASE LORD I AM THE NEXT TO BE PROMOTED PLEASE LORD!". They, even if they are underrated. Yet some of them show a great ability to fight comparing to many higher ranks. They are less organized however.

That's all you need to know. If you are interested to join the phase, or have more questions, ask them here. Or join the discord! https://discord.gg/jrnZyQQdXz
