Now then - the following is a compendium of addons that I personally use, have made, or have seen others use and might be helpful or interesting to others. I know it's rather annoying to look through all of Curse and then the forums here to find all the addons you want, or see others using, so I'm trying to make the task easier for those who just want to get going, but still want the extra features that addons bring. I'll be splitting these addons up into categories, but a lot of them overlap into different sections, so I'd advise checking them all out! R - Highly Recommended M/M - I made this for you! (Color = I made it, Grey = I edited it for compatibility or new features) E - Custom/Edited Version for Epsilon NOTE: If it has a VERSION listed after from a Curse / WoWAce website, that means that you need that specific version for 7.3.5. - Addons Chat / Logging: Spoiler ChatBubble - R M Description: Displays ChatBubbles over your head when typing in /say, /yell, and /emote, unless it's a command or (( OOC )) text Full Topic: https://forums.epsilonwow.net/topic/608-addon-convenientcommands-chatbubble/ This is included by default with Epsilon as of 8.3 EasyCopy - M Description: Enables you to easily copy chat lines from chat by clicking on a prefix message, such as a time stamp. Handy for copying chat or links or such. Full Topic: https://forums.epsilonwow.net/topic/194-addon-easycopy-updated-for-830/ GLink - R Description: Automatically parses links (http://, www.) in chat with an added button at the end of the message to copy the link. Also adds relevant contextual buttons for Item, Game Object, and Spell searches in chat to let you add, spawn, or learn them quickly. Elephant - R Description: An addon that logs your chat, so you can easily open the log and scroll back up to see what you've missed, find a link to an item someone posted yesterday in announce, or find that evidence of someone being a troll. Curse Page: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/elephant (VERSION: 8.3.0d) Sticky Channels 1.5 - M Description: Allows you to toggle chat types, such as whisper, from being sticky, meaning that if you do "/whisper John asd", the next time you start typing, it will not default to whispering John again. Full Topic: https://forums.epsilonwow.net/topic/526-addon-stickychannels-725-fixed/ WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) - Description: Changes WoW PM's to have a more IM Feel, popping up a new styled chatbox for each person. Also logs whisper messages so you can recall old messages, which show directly in their whisper box. Helps keep whispers from cluttering and spamming your IC chat also. Curse Page: https://www.wowace.com/projects/wim-3 (VERSION: 3.7.16.2) WIM causes compatibility issues with a lot of other addons and features. It is no longer recommended. Misspelled - R Description: Adds spell-check to your typing in WoW. Will check if a word is misspelled and highlights it. Right clicking on the word will offer suggested spellings, or the option to add it to the dictionary. Curse Page: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/misspelled (VERSION: v1.7.7) Gear / Spells: Spoiler Mogit (Epsilon Edition) - R E Description: A modified version of Mogit (which allows you to search items by categories to find exactly what you need for that new set) which adds in Epsilon's custom items. EasyDelete - M Description: Allows you to quickly delete items from your inventory without that whole 'Are you sure?' pop-up, by simply picking the item up with your mouse and hitting "DELETE" on your keyboard. Not hugely needed if you just use EasyDelete though. Has the option to filter (search) the spell list by name, and enables you to hold SHIFT or ALT to cast / learn the spell directly from that menu. Full Topic: https://forums.epsilonwow.net/topic/426-addon-spell-list/ RolePlay / Immersion: Spoiler TRP3 - R Description: A fully featured suite to cater for RolePlay, including character profiles, NPC emotes and chat, expansion of /me, and chat formatting for in-line emotes and OOC. Curse Page: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/total-rp-3 (VERSION: 1.6.14) Included by default by the Epsilon Launcher as of 8.3+ TRP3 Extended - Requires TRP3 base Addon Description: An optional expansion to the TRP3 system, adding in 'custom items', a new addon RP Inventory / Equipment, and much more. Curse Page: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/total-rp-3-extended (VERSION: 1.3.5.3) !CrossFaction - R Description: An addon that enables other addons to communicate cross-faction. This allows an alliance player to see horde players TRP3 profiles when they normally wouldn't be able to. Credits to Chase DynamicCam - R Description: A fully customizeable version of WoW's built in Action Cam, allowing you to have that more RPG feeling with your camera, such as an off-centered character, dynamic viewpoints for different events / areas (inside vs outside), head tracking (camera moves with the head, giving a more character-focused feel), and more. Curse Page: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/dynamiccam (VERSION: v1.4.1) KuiNamePlates (+KuiNameplates TRP Module) - R Description: Allows insane customization of the 'Nameplates' above characters heads. With the TRP module, you can set it so that it uses their TRP name instead of their actual character name, making it easier to identify people from chat in the world, and increasing immersion of facial recognition and such (if you're into that style of immersion, and not a weirdo who turns nameplates off). This is a restriction put in by Blizzard - I've doctored a fix for this which hopefully will be put server-side at some point. Functionality / Misc.: Spoiler Addon Control Panel (ACP) - Description: Expands the Addon management menu in-game to include new functions and greater control over what addons are loaded. (Not horribly needed now that blizzard added their own Addon button in-game) Curse Page: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/acp (VERSION: 3.5.7) ShiftSprint - R M E Description: Allows you to hold shift to sprint, just as in other RPG games. Optional configuration on speeds, spells to cast when sprinting, and emotes. QuickApp - M Description: Adds in "Appear" and "Summon" to the menu when you right-click another person's name or portrait icon, allowing you to simply click there to appear or summon them. Building / GObjects: Spoiler Object Mover - R M E Description: Creates a simple-to-use GUI and adds hotkeys for moving yourself (GPS), or GObjects, including Rotation Sliders to set the objects rotation easily. Direct is an exact distance between them on a horizontal plane (no height taken into account). MindScape 66 Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) Added: Toggle Event / Guild - Simple addon for toggling Event and Guild Announce until those respective commands are re-enabled. (/toggle [event/guild]) EDIT: Change NoSticky / Sticky Channels to just Sticky Channels after I got around to fixing Sticky Channels and putting it on forums. MindScape 66 Posted August 14, 2017 Added KuiNameplates + TRP Module to Roleplay / Immersion Looks fantastic, heavily suggest, lets you show TRP names instead of default char names, with class color and such if you want. You can follow the settings I have listed up there in screenshots to get it to work as I have - note that as of now it will not work in certain areas, i.e. phases that are built in dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, ect. Any normal world it will work, but inside those areas, it will not, as Blizzard has put in restrictions to block nameplate addons from working in those select areas. I have created a fix for this which should be implemented server-side at some point which will remove this restriction, but until then, just remember that. I am using your settings. Did you follow my actual interface options settings? Very last SS in my imgur album; you need to toggle on "Always Show Nameplates" in the Interface -> Names settings. Can also see more FAQ that are related to nameplates not showing up on certain targets on Kui's actual Curse page too, where they have a bunch of fixes and such if you want them for friendly NPC's at all times ect Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
