[ADDON] StickyChannels (8.3 Fixed)

Recommended Posts

StickyChannels

Intro

StickyChannels is an addon that allows you to toggle channels as 'sticky' or not in chat. That is, if you type in "/g" and then send the message, the next time you type, it will default to sending to "/g" again - The chat has 'stuck' to that channel. StickyChannels lets you toggle that on and off per channel, so you can keep it on for guild, but disable it for whispers, if you want.

Disclaimer: Credit to Varstahl from Curse for this addon - I merely updated it for 7.2.5 and added some quality of life features. See Credits section below.

Features

  • Change if a channel is sticky or not
    • Options for basically every channel type
  • Super simple GUI (/sc to open it)
  • Per-Character settings
  • Easily reset to default WoW Settings (/sc reset)

Installation

Download the addon above, open it with 7Zip (Recommended) or any other archive program that supports the format. Drag the "StickyChannels" addon to your Epsilon/_retail_/Interface/Addons/ folder.
Launch the game, and login. In bottom left of Character Select, click "Addons" and then ensure StickyChannels is enabled.

Addon created by Varstahl from Curse - All credits go to him!

I merely updated the addon for 7.3.5 (even though it was updated in 2015, it used a function deprecated back in 2013), as well as adding in a 'X' close button at the top, making the frame movable, and adding in a "/reload" hint at the bottom, as that seems to be needed now to make the changes take affect.

Check out the original Curse page here: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/stickychans (Versions from there most likely won't work tho unless he reappears and updates the addon himself)
