The Reliquary

"I have spent the better part of a lifetime training in the art of sorcery and gathering like-minded Blood Elves to form the Reliquary. You see, there are ancient, powerful relics found throughout this world that I plan to use to free my people from their addiction and unify them again as the proud, indomitable race we once were. Magic is something to be embraced and, I assure you, a force that can be utilized free of corruption with proper teaching." - High Examiner Tae'thelan Bloodwatcher

The Reliquary is an adventure roleplay guild based around a section of the canon Reliquary, which follows a kind of Dungeons and Dragons-esque feel of dungeon crawling, incorporating a controlled mix of rolling and emotes. Our storyline is primarily Warcraft lore centered around the basic goals and methods of the canon Reliquary, however we tend to dabble in some expanded or custom lore, races or classes that we feel could expand RP even further without completing ruining the canon feel.

We try to run events several times a week to keep our members, especially our newer ones, interested, however given that many of our DMs do have lives of their own, we encourage our members to log on and interact passively with each other between events, so as to help develop character relations and better the guild as a whole.

As a Horde faction, the guild allows in all races and classes that fit into the Horde, though IC prejudice is most certain to arise between it's members, especially towards the beginning. We're also including the Quel'dorei as an accepted race, given the High Examiners words on unity typically being seen as referring to uniting both the Quel'dorei AND Sin'dorei.

Our rolling system, when required, is fairly simple. You don't roll for everything. The DM will tell you when you need to roll, generally it's for traps, avoiding spells that are generally quite difficult to avoid or trying to pull off amazing or "epic" actions that require a bit of luck as well as skill. Basically, if you want to be a badass, expect to roll quite a bit. If you want to keep it simple, you'll only have to roll on occasion. When rolling is required we work off a typical /roll 100 format unless otherwise asked of. 1 - 10 = Negative crit and usually involves self-injury or something stupid / silly happening to your character. 90 - 100 = Positive crit and usually leads to your character proforming a badass move, managing to do something that is usually very difficult to do or being free to literally skip your way through a field of traps

Events are a major part of The Reliquary and a prime source for character development beyond simple casual RP. All events had will be DMed by myself or another member of the DM team and will be added here with a brief summary of what occurred upon completion. As of right now, we are also looking for people interested in DMing for the guild.

TBA

Events will typically be done by myself (until I've more DMs to call upon) with a fixed schedule and lasting no longer then 4 hours in duration (give or take for finding an appropriate resting spot:)

Weekdays - Starting between 5:30 - 6:30 PM EST

Saturdays - Starting between Noon - 3:30 PM EST

Sundays - Starting between Noon - 6:30 PM EST

That is MY schedule of availability to DM, and comes with the obvious requirement of people being online, an event prepared, and unforeseen consequences not getting in the way. Other DMs who join up will obviously have their own preferred times to run things.

1. Keep guild lore out of phases that aren't ours.
This means what it says, don't bring our custom lore to other peoples phases. We will remove you if we get reports that you were shoving our custom lore down other peoples throats.

2. ALL members must adhere to the rules listed here.
This includes myself, the guild master, other officers or DMs and anybody else in the guild.

3. Do not spark OOC drama.
Self-explanatory. If you go out of your way to make a big deal out of a small matter, you'll find yourself removed rather quickly.

4. Actively RP once a week
On the character you're in the guild with. If you're not online once a week (without explanation) you'll be kicked for inactivity. If you have something going on, just let us know, either on Discord, in a private message, or in game.

5. Have a sound understanding of basic RP concepts.
These are things like metagaming, godmodding and power-emoting. If you don't know what these are, this guild probably isn't for you.

6. Respect the authority of officers.
We're here to provide a quality and friendly RP experience. If you ruin that, we'll shut you down faster than a porn video on YouTube.

7. Respect others ICly and OOCly.
You don't have to run around loving everybody, but at least be mature and respect others.

8. Keep explicit content out of our chats.
Now, granted, the occasional mention of some adult topics is very fun. But, if it gets to the point where you are belting out the stage directions for a porn film, you will be removed. Period.

9. Keep any racist or otherwise derogatory commentary out of our chats.
We're all about a friendly environment here - and if you're the one being toxic to that friendly environment, then you are no longer welcome.

10. Don't make us make more rules.
There are more rules than the ten posted. Don't make us get them out if you're being an idiot. Cause if you're the kind of person that makes us have to have more rules... Oh, may god have mercy on your soul.

The recruitment for the guild is generally an in-game process, we prefer to settle things out In character as we either pick up recruits in the midst of a storyline roleplay, or by approaching us in whatever public phase we may be visiting. However, we also have it where people can join the (optional, but recommended) Discord group and talk with the DMs and officers to incorporate your character into the guild in one way or another. That being said, we do have an application process for easy recruitment where we'll accept you in OOCly and then you may find us In-Game, either through our individual characters or through the occasional "public" recruitment events we run to finalize your proper induction into the guild ICly.

Full Character Name: (Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya de la Rosa Ramrez)

In-Game Name: (Esteban)
Age: (23)
Race: (Human)
Useful Skills / Class: (Lockpicking, Tracking, Fletching, Archery, All-around-dungeoneering) / (Ranger-Rogue?)

How active do you plan to be on this character?: (Once or twice a week)
Do you plan to RP actively or casually?: (Actively)
Brief Background of your Character: (500 words max - Doesn't need to be anything complex)

As we bring up the guild and begin recruiting officially, we'll start hosting events and casual RP in our own phase for people to seek to join the guild through. Similarly, people interested in joining can also seek out our members ICly in other public phases to join, and they can either recruit you them self, or redirect you to someone else who can (such as myself.)

Beyond that, as I've stated prior, my DM team has decreased over the years and we're thus lacking in dedicated DMs to create and run events. To fix this, I'm also seeking to expand the DM group, so if you've DM experience and wish to try your hand at guiding the story of The Reliquary alongside us, feel free to fill out the DM Application below.

DMing Experience: (For how long and with whom)
How active do you intend to be as a DM?: (Active)
How often do you intend to host an event?: (Once or twice a week)

The ranks within the guild are being worked on still, but as a final product the only race that will have more then just the first two ranks (unless a DM) will be Blood Elves, considering this is a Sin'dorei organization. Other Horde races will be listed as either OOC Member or Ally (or something along those lines.)

Have you spotted one of our members breaking the rules listed? Or even breaking server/private rules without any regards? Here's a following format you can fill out to report the player in question, and have them punished by the officers of the guild. The people who will handle these reports are myself and the officers / DMs. Anything with a red asterisk (*) is required to be filled out for the report to be taken seriously. If you make a false report or try to harass one of our members through reports, future reports will not be considered from the person submitting it. I ask that all reports be PM'd to me directly and not posted here in the thread so as to not create unneeded drama as well as to allow the reporter to remain anonymous.

In-game name*:
Offence*:

Additional Notes:

The following is an example of a report:
Quote

In-game name: Radgar Mountainhelm

Offence: Bringing lore into Main Phase
Evidence/Screenshot: imgur.com/aBc1234.jpg
Witnesses: Jacob Whelpsmacker, Timothy the Red
Additional Notes: Was generally rude and disruptive of RP when asked to leave, mod had to interfere.

We take quality RP and good-behavior in The Reliquary very seriously, and if you're found to be a general nuisance or exhibit anti-social behavior, we will not hesitate to reprimand those involved.

Sad to hear it ended up being a neutral merge. I would've liked the duality especially with Battle for Azeroth on the horizon. I could imagine factions like The Explorer's League and The Reliquary playing a big role of rivalry in Silithus and other places in the world where Azerite spawns.

I wish you best of luck with your guild though, but unfortunately I'm really looking for something more horde-aligned.

I've retracted my previous decision.  Reliquary will remain a solo guild for Horde only as it was prior. I've returned to recruiting for it so those interested can either apply here, or seek my out in game.
