    Wanted to make something different to the already abundant amounts of green dh sets.. So i took reference on what i liked (trench coats, casual looks and swords).. I already had most of that, except the shirt and coat, so i now completed it.. . Edit: giving it a 7.8.. Its cool, but i find the sets to be very similar to others.. id on't know why ;-;

  2. Sounds interesting indeed! now all those twilight hammer lovers or old god worshipers finally got a place in Epsilon to RP with others! (I know it sounded offensive but.. No it wasn't ;-;)

To make it short.. Great idea!

Nice story Arvick!.. Not like i didn't readed anything and came here to comment...

    Or did i?

    Hmm...

  4. Nice Guide!. Saw a few murlocs around, so i suppose this may inspire some more.. Short, easy to read and useful.. What else you need? :P Although if you wish more information aside WowWiki (Which is a confusing website as of now) you could try Wowpedia

I believe the whole demonic traits is from the headcanon page, make sure to inform people of what is headcanon and what isn't headcanon. Though I am fond of it, it gives more depth. But, also I would say some of this can vary on that Hunter's personality and such. But, in depth guide nonetheless. It's not aimed to make every DH a copy of one another like some guides I've seen.

    Hey Elandris.

Well, if you mean the "demonic traits" in the means of the "inner demon" section and how each demon affects a char, yes it can vary on the hunter's personality. The little described on the demon's traits (such as personality changes, etc) is mostly what we see ingame with either conversations from friendly demon npcs, enemy demons yelling at you or having different voice lines (particulary bosses, like mother shahraz) with the different types of demons (shivarras more religious, sayaads being the flirty type, fel guards being aggresive, etc.).. Blizzard didn't got much in-depth with how each demon affects the hunter.

Damn, they retconned the whole inner demon thing? Or was it ever officially stated that they have an inner demon to begin with? Either way as trippy and cool as the arc idea of your character coming to terms that they have no inner demon, the whole idea of actually battling with the soul of the demon you consumed is much better IMO.

Up to you if use it or not.. At the end, im not even sure what to believe.. I have to say i still use said idea with the inner demon.. Ones will say Illidan's novel protagonist simply found out the truth, or others (such as me) will say what its stated on the guide already.. Honestly? just rp whatever of the two concepts you wish, both are good to take.

    Salutions :D

    Same issue here. :(

Get in touch with Azarchius and let him know your account name. We've just gotta be patient and wait for now. Hope to see you in-game soon.

    What papa Pa said. :D

Yes, many other Demon Hunter guides make the same mistake, but I do not think a mistake should be allowed simply because it is a common one. The "inner demon" plot is a large part of the Illidan novel. The character, Vandel, is falsely under the impression that the demon he consumed is influencing him, but it is revealed towards the end of the novel that it is not.

To ignore that plot arc is essentially ignoring a large part of being a demon hunter: you are being corrupted, you are changing, and it's not the demon. It's you, you're changing.

I have challenged others in the past and no one has provided me a source for the "inner demon" other than the Illidan novel, where it is later revealed that the "inner demon" was fake all along.

Please understand that I am not trying to antagonize or prove anyone wrong: I simply do not want incorrect or fanon RP ideas to be paraded as fact.

I do understand you, the problem is when someone says a thing. And this other someone says its different... As of now, its  a conflicting subject.. I will edit the guide now, as i find it a need for readers to know it, yet there are 99% of the dh rpers that see it in a way, and others see it in another, at the end, i cannot hope to make a guide without a mistake (or maybe not).. In anycase, thanks for the help, ill make sure to correct it.

I do not mean to sound rude to you but I am giving you a first hand source whereas your defence is Wowpedia, a third hand player-made encyclopedia which has drastically dropped in quality as of recently.

I have read the Illidan novel, the source of most of the new demon hunter lore. The quote you linked is based on information from the EARLY part of the novel, where Vandel is under the impression that the dark thoughts he is having are from a demon rather than himself.

I cannot tell you why Wowpedia's editors have the incorrect information. I cannot tell you why they only seem to have read half of the novel. But I can give you a direct source proving that what you are reading on Wowpedia directs a first hand source.

No worries, you are not sounding rude to me, i understand ya.

In anycase, i guess then 99% of Dh rpers and guides around are all wrong.. As you can see, you don't need to do much but type "dh rp guide" to find them, most using also illidan's novel, and stating the inner demon as i did.. Aswell as many DH rpers that i know, and some even before Legion was out that have been rping for years on it... So yeah, i cannot also take Illidan's novel as a 100% accurate source, as i cannot aswell take all in wowpedia 100% accurate.. We can discuss this as much as we want, but there will always be DH rpers that focus on their inner demons aswell (which as far as i see is the mayority of them), and some who will not (which im yet to meet one)... In anycase, no hard feelings, truly.
