That is simply one of many reasons. Most of the reasons aren't user-side. They're mostly on the back end of things. In short. To make things work normally a whole bunch of extra work is needed. At the same time TRP has it covered.

Guess it's up to the dev team, I would love if we got real spaced names.

This is just my personal Opinion after speaking with some people revolving WoW Development.

Its a lot better and more user friendly not having spaced names. They cause more issues than its worth.

Because it takes more time to whisper someone?

It increases my immersion to be able to read people's full names above their heads and it's also good to put in 2x effort to whisper them.

Exactly. There is also a addon if I remember correctly to help with whispering to characters with spaced names.

You have mastered time and space, good sir. I applaud you. *clap*

On a more serious note, this could . . be a little annoying for newcomers to the server. It's easy to avoid, I suppose.

I always take at least 5-10 minutes staring at the creation screen thinking of a name and readjusting anyways, so I've never personally experienced this.

I found the bug because it was loading slow when I clicked "Finish" so I spammed it and this happened.

This is able to be done with the .rename command, but I think it's a bit bugged at the moment, so you may have to wait on Az to give it the ole' fixaroo.

Ah, hadn't actually seen we had a .rename command, I hope Az fixes it soon. :)

It's not that hard but there's no point in doing it now, if we're going to add in official ones later on NEW ID's instead of replacing others. That'll just ruin builds and fragment the community, as you'd need to go back through and replace old tiles with new ones (which may or may not be the same sizes then?), or force people entering your phase to have the patch for the other tiles then on top of the official one. It's not so bad atm anyways to work without tiles - right decor and such and it's better even. (Albeit there are some cases were tiles would just be amazing, yes)

That's true. Will it be hard to figure out how to add new .m2's?

Almost the only reason I want tiles is because I would be able to make beaches and make my flooring look better than 1000 worgen_plank.m2's side by side.

  7. Is there any reason we can't make spaced names? I know you can do it in TRP3 but I much prefer to have my real character name be spaced than my TRP name.

I don't think it would require a lot of work to either make players able to do it in-game or on the website.

  8. I don't quite understand everything you're talking about but I've noticed quite a few purple boxes that could easily be replaced with the tiles. I know this isn't the best solution but until we are able to create .m2's this would be the best solution.

  9. I remember a long time ago someone made a patch including reskins of the nagrand rocks so there was sand and grass textures, does that still exist and does anyone have it? I've searched the forums but I can't seem to find it.

I've never had this issue, but I'd guess that it's something to do with the new phases getting deleted or something.

Well, my phase isn't getting deleted but the 1000 worgen_plank.m2 I've spawned gets rescaled everytime the server restarts.

  11. Whenever the server crashes 80% of all my gobjects get rescaled to 1, this basicly ruins everything I build every time so I have to go rescale everything and delete a lot, pretty sure it's a bug, please make me wiser.

You can set Length, Width, and Height in the object parameters, and then when you hit one of the movement buttons, it'll move you by the respective amount (or move the GObject selected if you have "Move Object" selected in options). Length = Forward / Backward, Width = Left / Right, Height = Up / Down.

If you hit the "Halve" or "Double" options, those numbers in Length / Width / Height will be doubled or halved when you move. So if you have your length set to 2, and move forward, you'll ".gps for 2" - But now if you hit the double options, and move forward again using the button, you'll move forward 4 instead, since it's now doubled. The actual numbers in the box won't change though.

Spawn on Move makes it so you spawn an object every time you move, so that you can quickly GPS build by setting the numbers up (i.e., like objects from this thread: https://forums.epsilonwow.net/topic/217-gps-coordinates-list/ ) and just moving each time, it auto spawns, then move again, and continue.

Messages is just a checkbox if you want to see the spam from all the commands used when moving, rotating, ect. Best to leave it off unless it bugs out and starts blocking all messages (this can happen in current version - already fixed on my version but working on some other updates (like Auto Dim) first before putting it out).

Omg thank you so much, this helped loads!

  13. Hey all, old Echeloned/Project Defiance/Div-x player here.

I've had countless of characters across these servers, far too many for me to remember their names, I've mostly been known as Morgus.

I'm an avid lore nerd and builder and will most likely spend most of my time building although I do enjoy creating stories/characters/guilds.

I hope I'll have a grand time here and you are welcome to send me a whisper in-game if you remember me, want to build or just want to chat.

In-game I'll be known as Vincent Ward.
