ArvickCorpsebane 65 Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) Age: 46 (Age of Death) Titles: The Ebon Lion, The Marble Lion (formerly) Gender: Male Race: Undead (Human) Affiliation: Sons of Lothar (formerly), The Alliance (formerly), The Ebon Blade Status: Undead Character Class: Death Knight, Knight (formerly) Arvick is of strong stature, towering above the average denizens of the human race. His skin is pale, cold to the touch and leathery in places where the hide is no longer connected to his atrophying muscles. All body hair has long since disappeared from the deathly skin, leaving behind a smooth surface. Several scars adorn the Death Knight's body, though many of them are pale and barely visible, serving only as a reminder of Arvick's past. The ghastly visage is usually masked under heavy plate armor. It is mostly composed of rusting iron and the iconic, maddening Saronite metal. Brutal and warlike, the armor not only looks deadly, it is deadly. Underestimating the protection Saronite grants to the user is oftentimes a fast and effective route to the grave. From long experience, many enemies Arvick fought have learned this reality. Arvick's face is but an echo of someone who perhaps used to be an aged, yet well-groomed and well-kept human. His cheeks are sunken and his eyes no longer blink. Mostly expressionless and sealed, his lips are purple as if there is no beating heart inside of the pale husk. Ashen hair is neatly tied into a ponytail on the back of his head. The strands are withered and dry, holding only very lightly on Arvick's pale scalp. To gaze upon The Ebon Lion means to realize that this creature is no longer alive... or dead. Spoiler Sometimes, one would wish that there could be a simple end for the weary heroes of the past, that their graves would remain undisturbed. This was the reality Arvick lived when he still served the Human Kingdoms as a stalwart knight. A Hero of the Second War, who was left behind the Dark Portal to fight the countless hordes of demons alongside his brothers in arms. That was the individual many knew as Arvick Balecroft. As a living knight and one of the Sons of Lothar, he sought nothing else than to live an ascetic and humble life in service of the Crown. But oftentimes, thrilling heroics and sacrifices end with no recognition, safe for a gravestone above your rotting corpse among a sea of other brave fools that laid their lives for those they wanted to protect. Arvick's fate was no different. When the age-old crusade in Outland ended, Arvick reunited with what little was left of the proud heritage left behind by mankind, seeking to bring glory back to the lands of the Eastern Kingdoms. In wake of his crusade, Arvick joined the Argent Dawn to rejuvenate the dead lands of Lordaeron. However, the hand of death does not care for a noble cause and as such there was no light at the end of the tunnel for his weary soul. He fought overwhelming odds with vigor, each time coming out of the grievous encounters barely alive... leaving countless dead allies, friends and even family behind just to survive. His battles in the Plaguelands scarred his mind and body deeply, leaving him to be someone who was merely an echo of the great hero Arvick once was. And even when death finally took his life, it was not for him to rest. His body was transported to Acherus, the darkest and most unholy place to ever grace the world of Azeroth, perhaps besides the spires of Icecrown itself. He bought Azeroth another dawn, using his life as the currency... But when that dawn came, he became one of those that would bring forth another dusk. Resurrected by the vile sorcery of the Scourge, Arvick would be customarily renamed as the other Death Knights. Arvick Balecroft was from that day forward known a Corpsebane. A name that would strike terror into the hearts of those that still clung to Light's embrace. Together with his malformed brethren, he became a Knight of the Ebon Blade. With them, he executed wishes of the Lich King in the most brutal, cold and heartless manner. Without remorse or sorrow, he slaughtered helpless women, children but also armored knights and the people he once considered family. While it was not Arvick's own will that brought an end to these poor souls, he still regrets his butchery deeply to this day. When the Lich King's will over the Death Knights of Acherus was broken during the Battle of Light's Hope Chapel, Arvick fell to a deep state of depression and sorrow. However, he also regained the will to fight the monster that transformed him into the unholy beast he now is. The Marble Lion, now known as The Ebon Lion, is hunted with the need to slaughter forever more, but he has sworn to never slay another child or those that are too weak to pick up arms against him. Regret is rare for Death Knights, but for Arvick there is no end to it. Every day, he relives the countless executions he performed in the Lich King's name. And every day, he becomes more detached from who he used to be. Although the Lich King's evil was vanquished, Arvick wanders the world to this day in seeking of retribution. Wherever he goes, he brings his endless crusade to stop those that would seek to harm the world he protected and died for. Now, with the Legion threat looming above Azeroth, Arvick is determined to prove himself a martyr once again... Whatever the cost may be. Arvick is a Knight of the Ebon Blade. A butcher to many, a fallen hero to those that remember times of the old Alliance. Although he regrets his involvement in Lich King's plan, he remains not idle in his sorrow. Instead, The Ebon Lion set himself onto a deadly crusade to finish the job he started. He scours through Azeroth, seeking to destroy those that would dare to harm the well-being of the world. Without rest, food or water, the Death Knight fights for his own retribution, hoping to gain at least some small remission of the man he once was. Positive Commander - Arvick is good at rallying troops and planning strategies. Master of Unholy and Frost - Arvick commands a vast array of dark and twisted spells. Witchhunter - Arvick can recognize different types of magics and auras. Shadow Adept - Arvick uses abilities such as Death Grip and Asphyxiate. Negative Light Vulnerability - Arvick's flesh can be scorched by the Holy Light. He is weaker on places strong in the Light. Apathy - Arvick has little care for the people around him. If killing an ally means to kill a Demon, he will do it. Lamenter - Arvick can become a liability when reminded of his past too much or too often. Bloodlust - Arvick's curse fills him with a hunger for violence. If not sated, Arvick will turn in to agony. Neutral Headstrong - Arvick is able to stand firmly behind his decisions. Sometimes too firmly. Solitary - Arvick prefers to live a life of solitude. Zealous - Arvick is very dedicated to his cause. It borderlines with zealotry. The Pawn 28 Posted July 22, 2017 Personal rating 8.75/10.61 Honestly, I think that it's really well built and a nice character I hope to see around. (it's built well enough at the very least that I asked Mordred for the same assets so I could do a bio similar to that.) Undead RP doesn't exist though. L2P Noob! Shoulda done it for a character that's actually legit! My Characters (Forum Bios WIP) Spoiler =Main Characters= Aurina Silverfaith - Void Elf Barbarian (Berserker) 'Shade' - Void Elf Rogue Zaetha - Blood Elf Bit- ... Warlock...
