  1. in  patch 7.3 there's the broken blade of aggramar, but its got fire n shit all about it so it probably won't suit your needs very well. Making a broken blade should be fairly straightforward to do in terms of a potential item to add into the game.

Yeah, as Romeo has said, Frostmourne has a broken look thanks to Tirion, that running jump was so bad-ass in the raid. Unlike some of the voice acting.

It's a cool look, makes you think that if the other pieces of the shattered blade were assembled, some mystical elves would reforge it into a nazgul killing sword. :)

  2. You store each message, and who the original sender was.

If it is a question you flag it as incomplete, and wait on a possible response.

Obviously the meaning of life is Disney is really Damn Weird!!!1!!

But seriously this gets in with the voice recognition stuff that google, microsoft and apple do. If you have multiple people talking when asking google something it struggles to do its task.

  3. Hey, we have a guide section on the forums, we also have a search function.

We don't have a wiki, but we might benefit from having a wiki.

Having a place where people can go to read user generated guides that are also reviewed by others in the community would be nice. Sure, some people might misuse it, but they'd probably misuse the forums and other parts of Epsilon anyway.

    Thanks for listening

  4. Hey sorry im a bit late to the party.

ive not really stopped colouring chat messages at all lol, that being said:

im going to get pedantic here, what if you emulate an item link via executing code via script? whats the difference between that and simply linking an item. There's nothing malicious about linking an item. Colouring TRPs, are we allowed to do that? Changing the colour of players names client side via an addon that others also have is frowned upon. Colouring trp profiles via the methods stated in Bastille's guide post is colouring elements of the trp tooltip, and thats frowned upon. Are we allowed to link items? because they use the same stuff as what colouring messages use. Doing some quests on wow add coloured messages to the chat, and even icons - are they allowed?

You can also colour guild names, and those are publicly visible from /who. Yet there's no explicit rule against those. Also, staff members and various players have coloured guild names.

sorry, but if someone asks for a link to something, i'm going to colour it. Having someone type out an url is mean, regardless of whether or not it has been shortened.

Colouring messages is really useful for sharing URLs. They can be copied in-game, even by those who don't even have a colouring addon. Perhaps there could be some exception in the global announcement rule to enable users to be able to colour messages in announce or event announce that contain a URL, so people who want to visit whatever site it is only need to do a simple shift + click, ctrl + a, ctrl + c.

If a feature was added to announce etc that detected a URL between brackets or something, that could be a nice thing.

  5. but fel does have a negative influence on the users mind. Its addictive qualities makes it do that once you start, it's pretty much impossible to stop. Just look at Medivh and how much of a Junkie he turned out to be. Most NPC's that start wielding fel energy in wow are seen to crave it. Like most sources of power tho, if you use too much and burn through all your mana then it will likely rip you. literally RIP your character.

so guys just remember not to pull a gul'dan on the reg, as you dont usually see him casting dark magic around willy nilly.

nice guide tho, perhaps someone could make a guide on here about magic use. A wiki for epsi could be fun, too.

  6. *jumps tyhrough the universe and punches deathwing in the face like in the day deathwing came by the time he arrives at azeroth he has accumulatwed enough velocity to break the speed of light and inadverte3ntly tears a massive gaping hole in space time boson field in his wake, slowly destroying everything in the universe as he rapidly approaches. in one millinanomicronomicon second he is upon the great black dragon and with a singlke punch obliterates the dragon aspect into nothing but a rapid dispersing sublimation of atoms and matter*

((i rolled 100, you cant dodge this))

((if u void it ill report you))

If all the community is as fucking annoying as you, I might as well leave right now.

Holy shit, what side of the bed did you wake up on?

Welcome to Epsilon, please leave the hostile angst at the door.

Can I target specific models? I am not a fan of the undead new versions for instance. If I could turn them back into the badasses they were before, can I?

To target specific models you'd need a patch. Renaming the low poly model to match the HD model e.g. scourge female.m2 to Scourgefemale_HD.m2 as well as the skin files would do the trick for this kind of thing.

It'd be pretty neat to be able to pick and choose stuff like this ingame. I'll take a look into this and see what our limits are.

  9. The standard (low poly) models still exist in the game files, from the options menu, go into System > Advanced Options and tick the box that says 'Show New Character Models'

@Grandmaster Pa You can't cover up elf ears though to make them look shorter. Don't think it works that way.

Oh no, you can't. So an item wouldn't work for elves either as it'd just clip with the existing ears. Unless we made the default ears smaller and add longer options as ears, that method could work. But editing the native model just for this would mess up npcs.

No simple solution to this at all

Here's the obligatory "hue fuck half-breeds!"

Now that's done-... Adding new hairstyles is one thing since the hair is standing completely ceperate from the model but adding new types of ears is a little more difficult than that. You have to make sure the new ears are moving along to the bones (as ears wobble when elfs run), and there's so many different aspects that just don't work with longer-eared bones.

What can be done, however, is making at item that is essencially a helmet or works like a spell and makes for example humans look like they got elf ears. Instead of working on the model, one would just take the elf ears and turn them into a helmet.

itd be easier to just do it for elves, and treat them as horns. Humans would have to be done via an item.

  12. it isn't really as simple as popping on new things. Some workaround for this could be to treat the shortened ears like demon hunter horns and work with them that way.

Then we've gotta texture them and all that, make sure they move properly with the head and a bunch of other stuff.

It's entirely doable, it's just that they probably wont be given their own special slider menu.

  13. The following spells summon portals at the targeted location:

    42042 - Spell Portal: Red
    42043 - Spell Portal: Purple
    42044 - Spell Portal: Holy
    42045 - Spell Portal: Nature
    42046 - Spell Portal: Frost

they also launch a missile at the targeted location which looks pretty cool. If the portals could be removed from these they'd be pretty nice for spell visuals.

Oh and the portal effects are obnoxious and wreak havoc.

    Please? :)

  14. The gameobject with ID 843216 - buildingtile_7hm_tauren_log02.m2 causes client to crash.

Workaround to delete this and other bugged objects from your phase is by making a macro

    .ph e PHASEID

    .gobj select PARTIALGOBJECTNAME

    .gobj del

    Thanks Firestorm
