  1. Age: 46 (Age of Death) Titles: The Ebon Lion, The Marble Lion (formerly) Gender: Male Race: Undead (Human) Affiliation: Sons of Lothar (formerly), The Alliance (formerly), The Ebon Blade Status: Undead Character Class: Death Knight, Knight (formerly) Arvick is of strong stature, towering above the average denizens of the human race. His skin is pale, cold to the touch and leathery in places where the hide is no longer connected to his atrophying muscles. All body hair has long since disappeared from the deathly skin, leaving behind a smooth surface. Several scars adorn the Death Knight's body, though many of them are pale and barely visible, serving only as a reminder of Arvick's past. The ghastly visage is usually masked under heavy plate armor. It is mostly composed of rusting iron and the iconic, maddening Saronite metal. Brutal and warlike, the armor not only looks deadly, it is deadly. Underestimating the protection Saronite grants to the user is oftentimes a fast and effective route to the grave. From long experience, many enemies Arvick fought have learned this reality. Arvick's face is but an echo of someone who perhaps used to be an aged, yet well-groomed and well-kept human. His cheeks are sunken and his eyes no longer blink. Mostly expressionless and sealed, his lips are purple as if there is no beating heart inside of the pale husk. Ashen hair is neatly tied into a ponytail on the back of his head. The strands are withered and dry, holding only very lightly on Arvick's pale scalp. To gaze upon The Ebon Lion means to realize that this creature is no longer alive... or dead. Arvick is a Knight of the Ebon Blade. A butcher to many, a fallen hero to those that remember times of the old Alliance. Although he regrets his involvement in Lich King's plan, he remains not idle in his sorrow. Instead, The Ebon Lion set himself onto a deadly crusade to finish the job he started. He scours through Azeroth, seeking to destroy those that would dare to harm the well-being of the world. Without rest, food or water, the Death Knight fights for his own retribution, hoping to gain at least some small remission of the man he once was. Positive Commander - Arvick is good at rallying troops and planning strategies. Master of Unholy and Frost - Arvick commands a vast array of dark and twisted spells. Witchhunter - Arvick can recognize different types of magics and auras. Shadow Adept - Arvick uses abilities such as Death Grip and Asphyxiate. Negative Light Vulnerability - Arvick's flesh can be scorched by the Holy Light. He is weaker on places strong in the Light. Apathy - Arvick has little care for the people around him. If killing an ally means to kill a Demon, he will do it. Lamenter - Arvick can become a liability when reminded of his past too much or too often. Bloodlust - Arvick's curse fills him with a hunger for violence. If not sated, Arvick will turn in to agony. Neutral Headstrong - Arvick is able to stand firmly behind his decisions. Sometimes too firmly. Solitary - Arvick prefers to live a life of solitude. Zealous - Arvick is very dedicated to his cause. It borderlines with zealotry. Note: Special thanks to Morderd/Neuro for providing the Darkest Dungeon assets.
  2. I'm a simple man. I see 40K, I leave a like. Also that Shal'dorei is badass.
  3. So. As far as I'm concerned, I would say the character itself is decent. The writing is far beyond my own capabilities and very fluid. It really goes to show that writing about anything can really capture the minds of people who aren't all that interested in the subject when you use the proper wording for it. Personally, I never had a major encounter with Deathwatch or Zanaris, so I can't speak from experience... But from what I can see, it is a solid 8.5/10 character. I might look silly trying to offer actual constructive criticism in the sea of memes, but meh... Whatever. Personally, I find the only problem with this character to be the extensive use of archetypes that are often considered cliché while bringing very little new to the table. Hence the lower rating. Other than that, I'm looking forward to meeting you ICly and knowing you better OOCly. The past on RPH be damned.
  4. Hello, person. - You seem to be popular with the cool kids around here, so I'm just gonna say I have no idea who you are but I'm looking forward to meeting you.
  5. *stomps on the rose buds and shatters all hopes for a happy ending.* No happiness in this thread! Anyways, welcome and all that jazz!
  6. So uh... Hello. - Do you think you would be able to do something regarding Graymane's fancy cloak? - I have seen someone using the skeleton of the cloak on human models to add some sort of trench coat. - Not sure how hard/possible/impossible it might be, but I would totally dig if humans could wear one of those. The creation in question:
  7. Who doesn't love a good old-fashioned crazy DK? - Okay maybe a lot of people, come to think of it. - Regardless of that, I might make an alternative version of my old Death Knight, Arvick Corpsebane. - The character saw quite a bit of shitstorm on RPH, a lot of retcons and pointless changes because of the new lore and such. But starting here, I can take Arvick back to square one and actually roleplay him as intended. Before, he was usually intended for physical (and very disgusting) slapstick and some casual undead RP with a bit of serious undertone. I plan on taking a more darker tone with him on Epsilon. - Arvick is going to be definitely much saner, and perhaps I will go more uh... What do the Warhammer fans call it? - Oh yes, Grimdark on his backstory. Safe to assume he will be seeing a lot of changes if/once Epsilon comes out.
  8. Hello. - A lot of the people that are here from Roleplay Heaven might remember me as Arvick Corpsebane, that annoying little piece of manure, who frequently spammed .ann with the infamous "Am I a meme yet?" line. To those that do not know me, I'm and was a longtime member of the RPH community practically for several years now. Recently I have come to the conclusion that RPH is a terribly-managed server with a community that is neither accepting nor really... enjoyable, per se. Don't get me wrong, I love that place and I'm still very supportive of the work Dr3ad and Goudy are doing, even if their personalities are a bit iffy. The problem lies more or so with the community rather than them. For one, the community upholds no standards of roleplay whatsoever and those that usually do uphold some standards only moan in the announce channel for all eternity until the server has its daily crash or they are forced to sleep. It just simply became very tiring for me to see new drama, new pointless discussions every day. This is why I came here to check out this project. Epsilon looks very promising so far and I have heard few very good friends of mine recommending this community. So here I am, people. I hope we can have a semi-intelligent conversation that isn't focused around "shitting and being shat on." Does this mean I will stop playing RPH? - Probably no. But I'm still very excited to see where this project is directed and what shape it takes on in the future. I personally hope it is for better than worse.
