Or, an alternative and easy way to do is is copy the scale 1 height of your race and gender from above, all units of measurement work for this, go to Google and simply paste it into the Google search bar. As an example, search either one of these for a male human: 6'3" / 6'0.8435" = 1.029604 75 / 72.8435 = 1.029604 190.5 / 185.0224392 = 1.029604 Thanks Google for finally fixing the feet/inches calculations to not use base 10. Imperial system - inches Human male: 6'4" Start by converting the desired height into inches by either: Typing "6'4 in inches" in Google. Converting it manually: <6 * 12 + 4 = 76> 12 inches go into 1 foot, so simply multiply the amount of feet by 12 and then add onto any extra inches. Once you've got the desired height in inches, simply divide it by the scale 1 height in inches for male humans, which can be found in the list above. Scale 1 in inches: 72.8435 76 ÷ 72.8435 ~1.043 Metric system - centimeters Human male: 193.04 cm Scale 1 in centimeters: 185.0224392 193.04 ÷ 185.0224392 ~1.043 You can just double-click and copy the scale 1 height values in the list above, or round up the numbers to the first or second decimal to make the process quicker. Personally I find converting feet/inches to inches and getting my scale that way to be quicker, but it's up to you whichever you prefer. I simply know both systems. How to Measure Models Manually Spoiler This is best suited for non-player models. To be the most accurate, do the following: Find some flat ground Stand as straight as possible. Can be achieved with the spell [120650 - Pose]. Using [16245 - Freeze Anim] at the apex of an animation (such as the case for male worgen (and saberon) standing at their tallest during the /kiss animation). Make these into macros (not all are needed) 1 inch: .gps u 0.02777777777777777777777777777778 - Recommended 6 inches: .gps u 0.16666666666666666666666666666667 - Recommended 1 foot: .gps u 0.33333333333333333333333333333333 - Recommended 2 feet: .gps u 0.66666666666666666666666666666667 - Optional 3 feet (1 yard): .gps u 1 - Optional, faster for taller models, easy to write 6 feet (2 yards): .gps u 2 - Optional, faster for taller models, easy to write How to measure a model Enter a phase. Use macros to reach desired height when on flat ground. Spawn an object you can accurately use as the measure. I personally use 815303 - [axistestobject.m2] Scale until you reach it with the tallest part of your character's head/body. Useful links to check out Height chart on Wowpedia - Not all accurate, check notes for the accurate/confirmed heights Model heights on Wowpedia - More accurate than some heights on the above link, added by me, ofc Average troll subspecies height - Researched & added by me, ofc Update - 10/05/2019 I recently found a way to get the exact model heights for every playable race, thus it was time to start updating this page. I've re-designed the post itself a bit, changed wording, toned down the colour usage and various other things to hopefully make it easier on the eyes. I also changed the calculator links to a much better alternative, it is the most accurate converter I've found and is something I used in the making of the height chart below. Added dwarves to the list because apparently I forgot them lmao. Also added Kul Tirans and Zandalari rather than forgetting to do it later. In this update I'll include my personally made player model height chart I made using WMV, Blender and Photoshop, as it is currently the most accurate one to date. (Goblins and worgen will be added once their model updates are out.) War-God Matt 67 Posted May 10, 2019 I've began updating the post, it sorely needed it in every possible way. Will add a slightly faster, alternative way of doing the calculations using inches instead of centimeters, thanks to @Nilith for pointing out it was missing. Considering that 1.6 for a male orc is ~11 feet and the lore height for male ogres varying between 6 and 12 feet, I wouldn't say that's very accurate to lore. :')

And all those NPCs are from TBC-era, aka they were scaled up for the cool factor, not lore factor. Rexxar in BfA is much shorter than the TBC Mok'nathal, shorter than a tauren even, so if anything he's the most accurate and up to date.

ward 4 Posted December 17, 2019 casual reminder that u shouldnt enforce accurate scaling on people and if they have a height listed in their trp which they don't represent and they dont want to portray it ingame, you should treat it as if they're accurately scaled. Not sure how I missed this but, I don't ever recall enforcing or trying to force anyone to scale. All I've ever done is inform people of the accurate scale for whatever height they may have set for their character, and I generally do so through whispers. If they then wish to use—or not use—said scale is entirely up to them. Unless you meant that in general for people that have tried to enforce it, in which case, that's silly of them.
